What have you seen people do that was too much like they were home?

In our travels (Disney and non), we've seen so many parents screaming at children, slapping them, dragging them; the the child retorts by screaming, "I hate you." THAT will be a big memory of the trip for that child forever. Parents would never speak or touch friends or coworkers that way. Can only imagine what happens behind closed doors.

screaming and running in the hallways, taking everything that is not nailed down are up on the list also.

On our last trip to Kidani DH and I got an eyeful of the nude woman lounging on her bed at night with the curtains open.

I am happy DH forgot his binoculars.

But I see absolutely no reason except lack of consideration for others that anyone needs to decorate their balcony. Disney does a fine job with theme and over the holidays spends a lot of money on decorations.

I have friends who decorate their DVC balcony for every holiday and ask for their room to be located where plenty of others can see it. I can't understand the bell services team that hauls up the live tree with the needles coming off all down the hallway, knowing they'll be removing the tree also. I'm sure they leave a nice tip so maybe that negates the whole issue of the tree being inappropriate?. It's nice to have one but you're right...the villas are NOT our home and personal decorations belong at home. Maybe some members are taking the phrase "welcome home" too literally.

I like it, will pass it along to my DH.

No way could I do that with my mom, I would need to pack the boys a proper bag even for an overnight. I could imagine the "look" from her.

To be honest even the kids have a small bag with the "basics" in it. Was a road warrior in my previous life, so I tend to still pack like that. I think even with "real suitcases" I could get the whole family out the door in an hour if needed.

We're totally guilty of that. We have 9 of us in a 2 bedroom for just over a week, and we plan on cooking breakfast daily, as well as a few dinners. So we do end up lugging in a weeks worth of groceries. And there's usually a plastic tote involved, as that's our personal solution to Owner's Locker - parents who live nearby, and don't mind storing a tote to bring while they stay with us.

I bring food, I usually have a few of my canvas bags plus my soft side cooler. but I pack my clothes in suitcases.

I had to laugh at this, but it did bring back fond memories for me. My stepdad (may he RIP) would put his clothes in a Piggy Wiggly paper bag when he went on a trip. He would save his suitcase for when he flew somewhere.

I have a friend who had to go on a trip with her coach. He used a trash bag for his suitcase. I am not sure what she said to him about his "suitcase" but without missing a beat he said "I have the matched set at home"

I'm totally embarrassed to say this, but DH had just received a new Canon Rebel for Christmas and was just taking literally hundreds of pictures to get use to his new toy. The result of which was his album called "People of WDW." In my opinion..it's absolutely horrid. But on the other hand, to think he captured all these "unique" individuals was somewhat also incredible. I've begged him to just erase it. Shudder shudder shudder....awful!!! Now...on the flip side of that coin, he caught some tender moments, happy children and wonderful memories.....but that "People of WDW" needs to be deleted!!

Housekeeping does it. They clean multiple rooms, setting the trash outside the room as they move along, then come down the hall with the trash container for efficiency.

Some members may do it having seen trash outside the door, but if you saw a bunch of it, you were probably seeing a housekeeping cycle in your hall. As most members are in the parks when this happens, many have never seen the trash.

(I clean my house the same way, each room gets its trash moved into the hall as I clean it, then I pick up all the trash bags and toss them as a near final step.)

I think at some point, you should upgrade to a gym bag. Just saying.

I vaguely remember travelling like this as a little kid in the early 70s. Then our school had a fundraiser selling gym bags. A few years later Pizza Hut had a gym bag giveaway. We had 2 or 3 of those bags.

As for the Piggly Wiggly sacks...we affectionately called it the PW Signature Collection.

I remember my Mom saying that she preferred motels with doors on the outside because she didn't like taking our stuff through the lobby.

Gee, we've come a long way.

Ah...this man is clearly confused. Trash bags are not luggage. They are emergency rain ponchos. They come in all sizes. A few years ago we attended an outdoor festival in the rain. My nephews were like 5 and 7. They looked adorable in kitchen garbage bags. We made rain bonnets out of Wal-Mart bags. One thing was hilarious, down the side of the kitchen bag
(umm..rain coat) was printed keep out of the reach of children. My BIL was skeptical throughout the process.

DH and I try our best to make sure that our clothes are pressed and in good order. But, we are hot and tired and our feet and backs hurt. Plus it can be difficult for the pooh sized to look neat and tidy at all times especially in theme park clothing. Plus, I've gone from Piggly Wiggly luggage to a PhD. I'm trying.

That's just another perspective.

I did want to mention the guy at BCV pool who took up seven lounge chairs.
As well as a table and four chairs. 11 Chairs total.
For hours it was him and two children.He was then joined by his wife and one or two more kids and proudly told her how he had "grabbed" the extra chairs and the table because"he did not know what the others wanted to do when they get back from the parks"

When the rest of his group showed up 3 adults they were there for all of ten minutes and never used the chairs he so proudly saved for them.

During this time the pool was very crowded and several people asked if the chairs were occupied.It is Very rude to do this especially when you see a family with small children with no where to sit.

I really think that they should be more aggressive in cleaning off chairs that are "saved "for hours. IMHO if there is folded unused pool towel and one flip flop and it is unused for 45 minutes it should be cleared. I also love the one crappy noodle covering 4 chairs .

Also when you are done please take the towels to the towel drop and make it clear that the chairs are open.

Thanks another thing that really bothers me! Trash (and room service trays) in the halls, although I certainly hope these people don't do this at their own homes.

My neighbor does that - only he goes out in the morning to get his newspaper in his boxers. I swear he resembles Fred Flintstone. Then there is the man who lives just around the corner from "Fred" whom I have seen cutting his grass with a chainsaw - twice.
