What have you asked concierge for?

Just a curious question as to what types of things you have asked of concierge. Specifics on souvineers, sweets, etc would be great. FYI - I am not looking for suggestions or anything - just nosy! :teeth:

We asked for some basic things:
room requests, mini fridge (they weren't standard).

This time I have some things planned - but they are surprises for DH and he reads my posts. :p

We have asked them for help getting the Grand One (we tried on our own as well and beat them to it)

We have had them make dining and spa reservations.

Anne

Joey and Travis at the GF arranged MANY things, including...

A different afternoon "snack" waiting in our room for us. These included the tuxedo'd strawberries, truffles another day....chocolate cigars etc etc.

They also had "guest of honor" name badges ready for us along with the newest Pal Mickey.

They made arrangements also for all PS and suggestions for places to eat.

They are SUPER!

I have asked them to do various and sundry things for me such as...

BC IPO...treats for my 20 month old DD and DH for each day of our trip. They gave me suggestions and came up with great ideas! We had surprises in our room upon arrival and several nights after that. They were super! My husband was a new head BBall Coach in KY and was named coach of the year, so they got the BC pastry chef to come up with this as a surprise for him:

BWI IPO...same group as above at BC...got DD her Tinker Bell outfit for the MNSSHP last year and had it laid out on the bed for our arrival. Later they had a Jasmine outfit for her as well, with an autographed picture from Jasmine and Aladdin. It was DH's birthday and they arranged several things for him(all BBall in nature, some even from ESPN)...including a birthday party in our room complete with cake, balloons, and the works!

The BC/YC/BWI IPO seems to be my personal favorite! I have even met the wonderful Alana!

WL IPO...chocolate covered strawberries for DH's and my anniversary (that never arrived) and a new Pal Mickey for DD that was in our room upon arrival. They also brought DD a card from Cinderella and a totum pole chocolate like the one in the lobby because her tummy was hurting when we arrived!

They have always been wonderful, except for that one mix-up! :confused3 I love how they can get almost any ADR and, as others have stated, it does seem you get one of the best tables in the house if they arrange those for you! :earsgirl:

1. Typical ADR's
2. Spa appointments
3. Tour reservations
4. Cirque de Soliel tickets
5. Illuminations cruise
6. Gifts in room, Pal Mickey, GOH badges, CD's, pins
7. Champagne, chocolate covered strawberries
8. Limo transfer

Pretty much anything you can think of, they'll try and assist you with.

Sazzo'sMommy That BBall Mickey rocks!! :cheer2: That is really something special ::yes::

I have had great experiences with AKL and BWI IPO. They are both wonderful!

Alana at BC/YC/BWI IPO has helped me with many costume gifts - most recently, the adorable Alice in Wonderland costume in 3 different sizes (for DD and 2 DNieces) laid out on our beds at the BWI when we first walked into our room :wizard:
Last summer we did Snow White and Cinderella costumes with matching wigs :earseek: as well as chocolates, BWI pin and a birthday cake and ballons for DNiece whose bday it was the day we checked in :flower:

AKL has done great stuff as well. I definitely request my dining "reservations", spa appointments, town car service arrangements, gifts in the room...they've been great!
ENJOY! :cloud9:

We have had them;
1. Make all our ADR's including CRT a week and a half before our trip
2. Book the Breathless Illuminations Cruise (thank you Amy in the BWI planning office)
3. Arrange a miniature wedding cake for our anniversary
4. Get a Cinderella dress for our DD
5. Get chocolate covered strawberries as a treat for friends
6. A Birthday cake and decorations for DD's 1st birthday

I'm assuming GOH is guest of honor. What are the badges and what is the purpose?

I have asked for ADR's, stuff for my kids to be in the room when we arrive: gold Mickey ears with their names, pressed penny book and a picture of Captain Hook

We arrive on my Birthday and I think my DH may be planning a couple of things ;)

The normal ADR's
Spa appointment
Segway tour
Mini-wedding cake & chocolate slipper dessert
Wine waiting in the room

When you ask the concierge to do special "things) like the gold mickey ears, and treats in your room, do they charge your room for all these things. What are some prices like ex: do they charge you for the gold mickey ears alone or for putting them in your room too? We stayed at the CR in June I wish I would have known they did these things it would have been a nice suprise for my boys.

The Concierges keep a credit card on file for you, if you are ordering things. Your credit card is charged at the time of puchase of the items, but they do NOT charge you to put them in the rooms or for picking it up etc.

Although Concierges are a "non-tip" position at Disney, I sent them a very nice cookie basket and a huge note as a thank you.

Our first trip is coming up. We're staying at BWI, so I've had conversations with Amy and Alana and I'm so glad to hear such wonderful things about them here! Here's what we've asked them to do:

1. Segway tour
2. Character Dinner at LTT
3. Anniversary edition Pal Mickey

and that's it...the FTW people are handling the arrangements for dinner after our wedding so I didn't bother the concierge staff with that. I may still have them get the wedding ears (except I want the headband style for me) but I can't seem to find a decent picture of them...do you all send pictures for the hats/ears you want?

We don't want our trip to be too structured, and they know we're getting married while we are there, so I'm kinda letting the magic happen if it does. If it doesn't, it will still be magical anyway.

But, any other suggestions about things we could ask for would be greatly appreciated! :)

The ladies in the IPO department for the Epcot resorts are fantastic, you are in excellent hands.

Is this the photo of the headband style ears you're looking for?

That's it!!! Thanks Tammi!

No problem. I like these more than the regular bride mouse ears. They have much more of a princess look to them.

You definitely don't have to over-plan when you stay concierge. The on-site staff at BWI are terrific also. They'll gladly assist you with any last minute arrangements.

It's coming up fast, I hope all your final plans are falling smoothly into place.

I like the headband ears better as well...mostly 'cause they'll stay on easier! :rotfl: And how can you go wrong with all those sequins! :teeth:

Everything is moving along...we finally got our rings. We ordered them from the World of Disney store...they've got the little Mickey icon all around them. They're so cute!

The most important thing is I have to remember to pay off the balance of our trip before the 45 day mark!

Thanks so much for the help and stuff...you've been really great! :flower:

Thanks for the compliment on the Bball Mickey...I thought it was great too! :earsgirl:

I love the BWI CL & IPO! I always send IPO something special too when they go out of their way, kind of like you Mr. Disney! Last time I sent them a Chelsey Market basket of yummy, fun stuff! :goodvibes They deserved it!
