What has Disney removed that makes you the saddest?

Off Kilter is what I miss the most. Honorable mention to Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

Mr. Toads and as I recall a breakfast on the paddle boat with Mickey and friends. Goofy danced with my father which is a great memory.

Also I really would have liked to leave a legacy at Epcot and then never got around to it and now sadly you can no longer do it :(
The Empress Lily, which is now Fulton's Crab House. I have pictures of my son at age 5 having a blast with the characters!

I think I posted before on this thread, Alien Encounter. A little hard core for Disney, but it was great! It would be something better suited for USO though, and would love to see a similar ride over there! This past December I had my granddaughters and I wished they still had the Pocahontas and friends animal show at the AK. I also miss the crowd interaction attractions like Sound Studio and the beginning of the Backlot Tour.

1) Park hopping included in the price of a multiday ticket
2) Non-expiration included in the price of a multiday ticket
3) Magic Kingdom Skyway
4) Horizons (never saw it, darn it)

First trip was in the 70s. I miss 20,000 leagues, i loved that ride! and the skyway. Also miss River country when we stayed at fort wilderness (in the original cabins!) and Discovery island. lots of good memories.

Wow this thread brought back tons of memories from childhood.

For me, its all the Epcot greatness.

Horizons was my favorite as a kid. :(
Everything about the Wonders of Life. :(

My wife has photos of the characters from then. There is always a mob of kids pulling at the character's noses, ears, tails, etc. Never were her parents able to get a good shot of just her and the characters.

*winces* Och, not cool. Then I suppose I just prefer the idea of there being more characters to meet. Must've been rough for the poor folks inside there. :worried:

I think I would've liked to experience some of the older parades/shows as well, the most prominent coming to mind being the Hunchback of Notre Dame show.

Yes i so agree with this. Epcot former greatness really shows what a genius Walt was. The initial EPCOT was all his idea and with him being gone no one else has been able to be forward thinking enough to keep the creative energy flowing at EPCOT So Sad

Wow, where to start...
1. Off Kilter
2. spectroMagic
3. Maelstrom
4. River Country
5. Other Epcot entertainment- MoRockin, fife and drum, WSP,
6. Beaver Tails
7. Good food
8. Legacy FP
9. Original Backlot studio Tour
10. Unique merchandise- everything is so generic and overpriced now. The stores used to carry their own unique and themed stuff. All the stores are now just smaller versions of world of disney.

That is just the first 10 that comes to mind...the list could be much longer if I actually think some more

Cranium Command
Food Rocks

$59 Value Resorts Specials
Checking in during Value Season and Paying that price for entire stay

FP collected during the day to be used at anytime

Appetizer and dessert included in the dinning plan

Wow it used to be so much better but I'm addicted now!

As a kid, I didn't fully understand how cool all the Wonders of Life stuff was. Now I'm older and would love to experience it again. My lady is a med student who never got to see it, but would've loved it.

I read that they use the building for private event stuff now, seems like they're totally wasting that area... at least throw some new attractions over there!

This whole website made me sad: http://www.lostepcot.com/

off kilter (had to happen sooner or later but wish there was more notice)
maelstrom
skyway
mr toad's wild ride
*benches* (funny but true)
legacy fast pass
lights of winter at epcot
pre-princess akershus

I miss Cranium Command, too! The new Pixar movie Inside Out makes me all nostalgic for it :)

I liked Mr. Toad but I also like Pooh. For the life of me I can't remember riding Horizons. I do remember enjoying Delta Dreamflight.

I do miss the unique merchandise but it seems like they're finally bringing some of that back.

I miss the Diamond Horseshoe review! My brother was picked on by the dance hall girls and kissed on his bald head. It was hilarious and a lot of fun. There were tables set up like a dancehall with the stage act. Lots of fun!
I also miss the leather stand outside adventureland. It was along the street their and had really unique leather goods. My husband always bought a new wallet or belt from there. I miss the park and resort specific gifts that you could buy. I also miss the other things mentioned here.
Gee, it makes me feel nostalgic and kinda sad now:guilty:

Most of all, I miss the constant rotation of surprise live entertainment on the walkways. It used to be an all-day party thanks to the wandering performers. And you didn't have to plan to see them 60 days in advance, they just showed up no matter where you are, to delight you!

More recently, I miss the Polynesian:

and the former VIEWS from Polynesian's beach!

Spectromagic!
I can remember sitting on the curb being completely mesmerized by it. And then later in that same trip, trying to "beat" the parade to cross Main St for dinner. I was dragging my Grandmother, trying to get through all the people, trying to say "Excuse us" all while both of us were laughing hysterically. It is one of my favorite memories from all of my trips.

I always have a soft spot for Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame - A Musical Adventure, which played at DHS from 1996 to 2002, but I understand change happens and is needed. I do love the score from that film oh so much.
