What has Disney removed that makes you the saddest?

Plaza Swan Boats

If You Had Wings

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

Waterfall in Polynesian lobby

Resort-specific themed merchandise

Higher quality food

Spontaneity not found in FP+

Aunt Polly's snack bar on Tom Sawyer Island

Reliability of monorail system

Completely agree!

Okay, here's my list of things I really miss:
First and foremost - Fast Pass. If you knew what you were doing, you could knock off the whole MK even on the busiest days.
Second - The Adventurer's Club. Nothing funner.
Ice Cream at Polly's. It was great relaxing on a rocking chair in the heat cooling off drinking an Ice Cream Float.
20,000 Leagues under the sea. I know it was a silly ride, but I enjoyed it.
Grilled Chicken sandwiches and regular spaghetti with tomato sauce. It seems you can't find these things anywhere anymore.
Paint brushes on Tom Sawyer Island. You really felt special if you found one of them and they gave you those cool looking fast passes for the mountains.
The original back lot tour when it was a real studio. We actually saw the father of the hardy boys just walking around outside. He was doing something with the studio and we thought it was so cool seeing an actual famous person just walking around.
And to wrap it up - The original journey into imagination, the skyway, and the main street penny arcade.

The original Journey Into Imagination (and the rainbow tunnel!)

Spontaneous character meets when they wandered the park

Lower crowds

New monorails

Affordable ticket prices

Polynesian Lobby waterfall

Not having to schedule rides 1-2 months in advance:sad2:

The REAL Main Street Bakery

Spectro Magic

Less resorts (cough cough DVC)

Mickey shaped butter

PUSH

Horizons

the store inside Cinderella's Castle

I could think of so much more if I took the time to think about it...

Alien Encounter

Push

Snow White's Scary Adventures

Lower crowds

Cheaper prices

The upstairs French restaurant at Epcot

Body Wars

Main Street theatre

My list contains the ones mentioned by others:
FastPass
Main Street Bakery and the French Toast Loaf
Mickey & Minnie's Houses in Toontown
SpectoMagic
Back Lot Tour with the neighborhood street at DHS
The view down to the theater at DHS (get rid of the hat!)
Body wars
Original Test Track (new one stinks)

I miss how simple it all used to be...and how it's seeming more impersonal now.

You showed up at the park, if you wanted to eat somewhere you picked it that day, you would run into the characters here and there.

Now the simplicity and carefree vacation has somewhat vanished - everything is booked way in advance. It almost seems like a frenzy trying to get somewhere to get to that dinner reservation on time (and if you don't have one - too bad). You almost can't change plans on the fly because of these reservations. People are planning meals and fast passes wayyyyyy before arrival. Almost like survival of the fittest (or most tech savvy) now.

To be able to sit here to watch this, or be able to go do that has a price tag now (i.e. dessert parties at the terrace where we used to watch fire works). Resorts now have "preferred" buildings that they charge more for (and I notice the cost per night of one of those rooms has increased from a previous $25.00/night to the high $40's. To see water costs extra/to see pool costs extra....

It's just so "complicated" now - and people have their nose stuck into their smart phones trying to keep track of it all instead of watching where they're going...

I must be getting old...

1. Honey I Shrunk the Audience... this was always a must-do for us. I was very disappointed when I heard that it had closed. I will admit that it was quite outdated though.

2. Jeremy Irons Spaceship Earth Narration... I know the ride is still around and I still love it. It also loses its purpose if it is not updated... But it's just not the same. I also miss the old ending.

3. Alien Encounter... many people thought it was too intense but I always loved it. Much better than Stitch.

4. Paper Fastpasses... no explanation needed.

5. Back Lot Tour... Another attraction that I always looked forward to but is no longer around.

Minnie's house. We used to do a picture in the gazebo every year, and the one in DL just isn't the same. :(

The Skyride (Skyway to Tomorrowland?).

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Diamond Horseshoe Revue.

Minnie's house. We used to do a picture in the gazebo every year, and the one in DL just isn't the same. :(

We have wedding photo shoot pictures from that gazebo! We stood inside the heart "window." We had planned on taking a picture in the same spot each year when we returned for our anniversary. So sad :sad2: (Although sort of cool to have the wedding pics somewhere that's now gone, seems so exclusive :rotfl:)

In no particular order:

Chicken Tenders, vs. 'nuggets'
Tapestry of Nations parade
'Lifetime' re-fillable mugs; wasn't that the original plan???
Legacy FP's
Resort-specific merchandise

Mostly, the freedom to get up and go wherever we decide, on a whim! Life is scheduled enough, now vacation has to be too?

Just remembered a couple more;

Wes Palm, at AK! Another favorite was the name tags you could buy, that looked like CM name badges. Wes Palm 'remembered' my DS, who was wearing his tag, when he was about 4 y.o. and embarrassed the heck out of him by asking him if I was his wife, lol!

The Magician, Brian Staron at Disney's Boardwalk

PUSH :(

The old Animation tour in DHS with the Robin Williams and Walter Kronkite video

Magic,Memories and You

Adventure's Club at Pleasure Island. I think I'll miss Pleasure Island too when it's changed. I'm sure it will be great, but it's hard not to miss the favorites.

Snow White's ride. We knew it was closing the last time we were there and waited forever in line to get on it. I think I cried when I got off knowing that I would never see it again and that my kids who were 4 and 2 at the time would never remember it
