What happens on the official opening day of EE?

I have already rode EE back in Feb. but I wanted to see what it was like to BE THERE on Opening Day! However, if I cannot get a room for that time period or cheap flights, I will have to skip it.

I will reitierate that the reason I feel it will be open to everyone on the 7th is that the media event is taking place on Thursday, April 6 after the AK closes.

I hope I'm right for the sake of anyone going on the 7th!
