What happens if your ADR CC is cancelled?

Pure curiousity.

So, during my time of making ADR's I've had 2 credit cards that had to be cancelled and replaced. One for that Target breach and one for the Home Depot breach. What happens if I don't make it to one of those ADRs made with those cards and they need to charge me the no show fee?

For the record, I have no intentions of missing any, but after getting organized and checking my ADR's, I realized I have 3 different credit card numbers there. I tried to figure out why, and then realized it was because I received 2 new cards in just a month. So it got me thinking and wondering what happens in that case. Do they charge back to the room, or send a bill?

As long as you didn't completely close out the account, your bank or cc company will be able to see that you authorized use of the now cancelled card before the security breach and will charge the no show fee to the account. Likewise if you are owed a credit for something charged on the cancelled card it will be credited to the account.

I had no idea it worked like that! Learned something new today, thanks!
