We will be in DL next week, and looking at the calendar, there isn't any parades listed at all! Am I crazy?:scared: Isn't there supposed to be a "celebrate" parade or something? We will be there 2/3 - 2/7 and I don't even see fireworks listed... What's up with that?:upsidedow

Due to the repavement and track repairs on Main Street, there won't be any parades or fireworks until about March.

Just to clarify...there is no nightly Remember...Dreams Come True fireworks show (that I've read so much about) until March?

What about DCA Electrical Parade? I don't see that in the Feb schedule either. :confused3

Planning my first trip - thx for any info :goodvibes

cheers,
:flower3:

Sorry Klam Chowder- The Electrical Parade is a Summer event and I believe during some peak times as well (Spring Break, and Christmas), but its not held off season. Only High School Musical and maybe Pixar?? should be running in Feb.

And yes sadly no Fireworks until March.

Thx a mint for the info, fairycat :goodvibes

Wow, looks like my schedule is really freed up :rotfl2: and I'll watch Fantasmic every nite then! :thumbsup2

I'm there March 19-21 so hopefully some "rehearsals" might happen by then but I won't be holding my breath for it :rotfl:

cheers,
:flower3:

You might get lucky them klam, they are projecting the MS repairs to be done mid to late March. I'll have my fingers crossed for you! :)

I know I'm in the minority, but I like it when there are no parades or fireworks. I mean, I'm sorry for others, but it's so much easier to get around!! I like that there isn't the huge crush of people on Main St and in the hub. I would like it best if they were offered a couple of times a week so that those who like them could still go and people like me could enjoy the days when they're not offered.

There's going to be two times between now and March when they have RDCT showings. Presidents Day Weekend and I heard someone mentioned the 31st of January...which is actually uh... today.

Oh hey ho, February is almost here!

The Electrical Parade is usually also shown on Fri, Sat, and Sun in April, May, and early June. ;)

On the other hand, Fantasmic and the RDCT fireworks are massive people eaters. Fantasmic at DL can absorb 16000 people per show. Do not know about RDCT but it must be at least 10000. So yes they crowd the park in certain areas at certain times, but also are a huge vacuum away from other attractions shortening the lines all evening. :)

DCA Electrical parade was playing in March last year. We saw it our first day there, which would have been the 2nd.

Agreed. I'll be at DL for 6 days starting this coming Friday and am interested in the crowd patterns at night when RDCT is down.

I don't know about next week, but I was there last week and the crowds were kind of evenly spread out. There was no trouble getting around though a couple of rides still had waits of 40 minutes (Indy, Space). The only problem getting around was right when the first showing of Fantasmic ended--we waited at Coke Corner until the mass exodus had passed before venturing toward NOS.

Wait, starting this Friday? The 6th? We get in late that night and will be there until Monday afternoon.....

Ha! Just saw this. Will you be wearing your Raiders jersey;)

We're staying at HoJo's Fri-Mon then PPH until Wednesday. Looks like we'll be getting a little wet.

LOL no Raiders jersey but I'll have my LGMH! We are using our time share points, staying at the Peacock. Maybe we will run into each other! :)

From what I've read, The Electrical Parade is down until summer, as they are replacing the Blue Fairy for Tinkerbell.....that's what I hear.
Talking with a castmember via phone, the paving should be done prior to our trip on March 7 & she even hinted that we possibly could see run-thrus of the new parade.....so we'll see.
It will be very weird to not have DEP or POD running this trip, as we always schedule those in & really enjoy them. Pixar Play Parade is running, so we'll get our parade fix.
