I was having trouble getting on maybe 10 minutes ago and now everything is loading fine for me.

Yup! Couldn't get on for a while last night. Tried twice this morning and couldnt either Restarted computer and all is well again

I believe they're having issues with the server the new post icon is disabled as well. I'm sure it will be back up later.

I had read something about installing a new search engine. That could have required a restart, and rebuilding of indices could take a while. But it sounded more like the engine could be replaced without a restart; perhaps Alex didn't realize.

Hmmm... I see that Search is actually gone right now:

Search will be intermittent or down beginning today (1/24) as they upgrade to a new and improved search engine.
