I was watching pretty in Pink the other day ( ok ok I know but I couldnt resist lol) and was laughing at all the "classes" we used to have in school.

We had the "Socis" ( Socials)
Stoners ( self explanatory lol)
Jocks
nerds
freaks
and then there were the rest of us...

I never really stayed with just one group I was a jock for a long time, but didnt really fit into that group socially. I wasnt quite a nerd and definately not a stoner. I knew everyone in school ( my close friends used to complain because everyone said hi to me when we were walking down the hall).

So what "classes" did your school have and which one did you belong to?

I never was part of a group. I talked to everyone. Still do even though I not part of the "club" anymore.

I wasn't part of any particular club. I was sorta shy, but I did talk to everyone.

The WRONG one. Fortunately, I still had friends from the RIGHT ones - but if I could do it all over, it would be much different.

I must have been in "the rest" lol. I wasnt a jock, wasnt a nerd, wasnt a stoner, I wasnt a "buffy" either. I just had a few good friends I hung out with. Since I worked at Astroworld (Six Flags) for 2 of my high school years most of my best friends went to other high schools--as did my boyfriends. I met my best friend there--we have now been the best of friends for 22 years. Also met my x there:rolleyes: but that is another story, lol.

I tried to be an outsider but didn't fit in! :p :p

a social here but had friends all over the place(and dated a artist in HS) Bf now I met at junior college

I was a jock, but I pretty much hung out with all kinds of kids. I love diversity. :)

Oh, for you American Pie fans, is it just me or did EVERY class have a Stiffler in it? We had 2. And yes, I hung with those guys too. ;)

It's hard to describe which group I belonged to.;) I was a jock (I lettered in basketball and track), I was in the marching and concert band-I was 2nd string clarinetest (we were called the geek group sometimes;)) I was in the top 5% of my class- graduated with a 4.0 (that would put me in the nerd group too;)). I was friends with everyone from different groups EXCEPT the bullies (I've never liked bullies). I didn't consider myself popular (I was also very shy), but being in a small school, everyone knew everyone.

I've dated the jocks, some of the Hockey boys were my best friends, hung out with the smarter kids, was an art nerd, I dress "preppy" and "jappy", I'm friends with the punks/skater kids, and I'm an art nerd.

Pretty much I talk to everyone, I'm not very closed minded. I guess I'm just a mix of everything!

We had:

Jocks
Nerds
Greasers
Heads (Stoners/Hippies/Freaks)
Everyone else

I was in the "I hate school so I'm quitting in February of my Sr. year and traveling cross country to hang in California for awhile" category. :p The only problem with that is: I'm in my forties and I'm still working on my BA. :rolleyes I have two associate degrees though. :) So actually, I have wayyyyyyy more credits than I need more my BA. :rolleyes.

And yet, you still can't keep up with what day of the week it is?

I think it's still hard to decide how to group you! :p :p

Shy? I guess you got over it!

We had:
The preps
The jocks (almost interchangable with preps)
The nerds
The cowboys (this is Texas, afterall)
The freaks
The stoners
The motorheads/industrial trades guys

The only club I ever belonged to was Drama club/Thespian Society and we were all freaks with a few combo freak/stoners thrown in.

My 15 yo dd now attends this same school and the only thing that has changed is that drama club is no longer comprised of the freaks. They are now socially acceptable!

Class of 1972 - we had:

The Rah-Rahs (preps and jocks)
The Freaks (hippies, flower children, and stoners)
The greasers
the geeks
the nerds ("A" students)
and everyone else.....

I am not sure where I fit in. I dated a "freak" -long-hair guy but I never did the things most of them did, I sure was not a rah-rah. I guess I was just oblivious. I remember hating those titles. My 16 year old daughter says the groups at her school today are:

The preps
the jocks
the skaters
the burn-outs
the nerds
the populars ( which surprisingly are NOT the preps or jocks)

I was part of the rest. I was friends with almost everyone.

Hmmm...

I was a cheerleader...but didn't hang with them much.
I dated a jock...who I think was a doper on the side.
I was an honor student who played dumb.
Me and my art class buddies well, we all ignored each other,
and I always had fun with the quiet people.

I didn't belong to any group.

You forgot one!
The band! When I was in high school, the kids in band were kind of a multi age group of our own.

In my HS we had the

Soshes ( the popular and smart kids )

The Loadies ( druggies , who had a sub group of surfers )

The Jocks

Chiques/Chicos del Rio ( the hispanic group )

I knew lots of people in every group.....my special group was Yearbook staffers. Most of us were on staff together for at least 3 years.
