I don't mean the SUV either. Never cruised before and I'm assuming that it is basically some type of cruise information guide they give ou. Am I right? What is included in it?

Yep you are right...the daily newspaper. It has all the info you could need, schedules, events...and more. You will find the new one every evening in your cabin.

Thanks so much! If anybody is going on the 7 day Eastern Carribean cruise soon would you mind picking up one for me and mailing it to me?

dtuleya, if you go to the excellent site Platinum Castatway Club, addy www.castawayclub.com , you will find examples of recent navigators, plus frequently updated info all about Disney cruises. I just finished printing out the most recent menus for my hub to peruse, as he is THE PICKIEST EATER ON THE PLANET EARTH (it is my belief that with the recent activity on Mars, we will soon be able to document that his status has risen to IN THE UNIVERSE). Inkognito and her husband maintain and update a wonderfully informative site, and a lot of your questions can be answered there. There is also a wonderful guide, the Passporter's Field Guide to the Disney Cruise Line, by Jennifer Watson, Dave Marx, and Mickey Morgan, that is a great source of help. Hope these help you with your planning...have fun!

My friend Bob is a Navigator. I think they tell the Captain which way to steer the ship. At night they pull out their little telescope gizmo and look at a star and sing the Navigator Song
"Star light, star bright
First star I see tonight.
I wish I may,
I wish I might,
Find the way to Cozumel."
Then they pull out their Magic 8-Ball to find the answer.
During the day, they consult their "Charts". I think a chart is either a map or a listing of how well their song is doing.
"The Navigator Song is number 3 on the Rhythm and Blues charts."
The Navigator is the person the Captain sends into the gas station to get directions.
Oh, it's also a great daily newspaper on the ship. Other posters have given you the link. You might get a set of water-color markers for your trip (they don't "bleed" through paper). Give a different colored one to each person in the family so they can highlight the activities on the Navigator that they want to see.

Disjazz...very informative description of the Navigator and his various duties!!! Though the Navigator must be a women if they are willing to go into the gas station to get directions for the Captain!!

Men are never lost. We sometimes suffer from Temporary Spatial Discomfiture (TSD), but we are never lost. I keep trying to go to the TSD Support Group meetings here in town, but I can never find the meeting hall.
