What everyone doing Labor Day weekend?

I going watch the fireworks at work. Plus I have work the whole Labor day weekend. I just happy baseball season is over this weekend.

Here we are doing a big fat blissful nothin'.
Today I am making a mini Thanksgiving dinner for my family and my in-laws from next door, Saturdays and Sundays at my house are becoming a regular thing I have begun and we all seem to like it. The rest of the weekend we have "17 again' and 'The Perfect Storm' waiting to be watched, yep nothing at all can be wonderful:goodvibes

It's a gorgeous weekend here in VA. Today will be hanging pictures & curtains(moved in to a new home earlier this summer). Might hit the pool later for some family time. Grilling steak & chicken kabobs tonight and then settling in for some VA Tech v. 'Bama football. GO HOKIES :cheer2:

Sunday the parentals and in-laws are coming over to help us take down a few bushes & a tree, the the rest of the fam will join us later for a cookout.

Monday is relax, relax, relax, maybe some swim, swim, swimming before SCHOOL STARTS

A baseball game this evening. Nuthin' tomorrow. It's finally cooled down, so maybe I'll attack that huge pile of ironing.

Then Labor Day morning, we're up at 3 AM to make online ADR's for our Dec. trip. I'll need to wait 'til 4 AM to call for the Candlelight Processional package. But we got nuthin' else the rest of the day, so I'll go back to sleep.

We're looking forward to a lazy, long weekend after a crazy first week with everyone's activities going on. Our alma mater is in a BIG game this afternoon, and we're excited that football season is finally here! The TV will be on all weekend until after the Super Bowl now. :) I have reading to catch up on, and DH and I have got to find some time to plan our Christmas trip. ADR reservation dates are quickly approaching, and we haven't done anything yet. :)

I watching the Vols play Western Kentucky now.

It's Football time in Tennessee.

Are you kidding?!? There is football on ALL weekend!!

I was up at 9am watching Gameday, I'm settled in right now watching UT play Western Kentucky, then Georgia plays, then Alabama and Virginia Tech, then LSU and Washington.

Tomorrow, Ole Miss comes to Memphis...pep rally and parade on Beale St!!

Then, on Monday, FSU and Miami play!

Oh, yeah...I'm going to TRY not to go into labor... we scheduled my induction for Tuesday morning...I've been telling people it was so I could get my football weekend in. :rotfl:

:yay: Heading to La Jolla, CA...for a mini vacation. Leaving soon. 1.5 hours away. We are new to CA and are having the best time exploring CA. Won an amazing bid on priceline for a lovely hotel. :beach:

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!!! :woohoo:

Whatever we feel like doing!:rotfl: It is going to be three days of relaxing.:cool1:

This summer has been a busy one and my husband and I are looking forward to just doing things around the house, reading, taking walks, and eating out a few times. It'll probably be one of the quietest Labor Day weekends we've had in a long time.:)

Cleaning the house, packing for my WDW trip on Wednesday

Sounds like MY kind of weekend, luv!!! BUT DS lives in Pacific Beach/San Diego and we have not seen him since July 4th. (Was home in New England all of August in that intensely horrific humidity:headache:). Sooo, I brought back his golf clubs, he sooo wants them sooo, we will go explore La Jolla!!! :beach:

How is the babe?? He is such a love bug!! :littleangel:

I'm packing for my trip to Disneyland!

:woohoo: :mickeyjum :woohoo: I heart the LAND!!! :mickeyjum You will LOVE our weather!!!

beautiful day in Western Maryland...and I am spending the weekend canning..husband is working today and Monday..I am making spaghetti sauce, homemade ketchup, zucchini bread, the grapes are ready to pick to make grape jelly, and after those are done..the apples will be ready for picking to make applesauce..lol...really tells me fall is coming..much too soon for me!
Happy Labor Day weekend to all the DIS'ers!

Historic Smithville, NJ today for a few hours with my daughters. Then dinner out tonight, and probably a bbq or two in the next couple of days. I was supposed to play tennis, but they canceled on me. So sad.

We are suppose to be on our way to Mackinaw City, to walk the Mackinaw Bridge on Labor Day morning.
My dh went to pick up our trailer in Elkhart IN and we were suppose to drive up I75. We figured with diesel, trying to find a place to park/camp extra, the weekend would end up costing us $500.
So I decided I wanted to walk the bridge, but I didn't need too.
I'm sad, because I've been waiting all year,
but I just came home from a vacation 2 weeks ago, and I can't justify that amount of money. We could find a Walmart parking lot, but I've been reading how generator's are not alllowed in any campground, parking lot, etc.
All RV parks are taken with electrical outlets,
I guess I didn't plan that one enough.

Its a beautiful weekend in New England, did some reading, laundry, sat outside today and now going to get chinese food for dinner, Sunday, it is ironing, after sleeping in late, and starting to pack for our Disney trip on Thursday. Monday, is visiting the newest addition to our family and more packing. Other than those things, absolutely nothing... total relaxation.:yay:

You hit the awful humidity in August and we hit the non-stop rainfall in June.:headache: It certainly wasn't a good summer for New England, as far as weather goes. It was nice to come back here where the sun shines practically every day!:cool1:

Funny that you called Carter a "love bug". I always call him my little cuddle bug.:rotfl: He just melts my heart. One look from him and he can have anything he wants.:)
