I always see threads about where/what people like to eat, I'm curious where/what people don't like, if any :) or is there anything that is your absolute fav? I'm dining planning :) Thanks!

I personally don't like the food at French Market. The last time I was there was about 2 years ago. I got the chicken and everything just seemed like it tasted of preservatives or something. I didn't like it. DH and I also hated the cheeseburger at Taste Pilot's Grill. I had read several reviews here on the dis where people were raving about them so we decided to try them and they were just those yucky theme park type of hamburgers (sorry to those of you that like them! :))

A few of our favorites (for counter service) are the BBQ chicken baked potato at Troubadour Tavern, ribs at TPG (we split the meal) and the sandwiches at Riverbelle Terrace. We also really like Carnation Cafe,

I hated the kids meal at Rancho do Zocalo in Frontierland. The portion was very small, and the rice was dry, under cooked and basically inedible. I actually liked the food at French Market. I had the 3 cheese veggie gratin, and found it to be very tasty. I also loved the penne pasta kids meal at the Plaza Inn. It was a large size portion with a choice of 3 sauces, chicken alfredo, marinara and bolognese sauce. I had the mariara and loved it. It comes with 1/2 a bread stick, carrots, apple slices and a small bev. I found it to be the best meal of all the kids meals I tried. I also liked the food at the Stage Door cafe in frontierland, and the Royal St Veranda for their veggie gumbo.

We were really unhappy with the food at the Lilo and Stitch character breakfast (particularly the teriyaki salmon which was inedible). I'm not sure if the food has changed since they changed it to Surf's Up, but we vowed never to go back. In fact, we vowed to never do another character breakfast until we booked our upcoming trip through Costco and are receiving vouchers. Maybe our take on the character breakfast experience will change when we don't have to lay down the credit card for a mediocre $100 breakfast. :lmao:

The menu has changed slightly from the Lilo and Stitch breakfast--no more teriyaki salmon (which actually, was my favorite thing there!)

My favorite character breakfast is the one at Storyteller's--you can order off a menu--my Mom and I often share an omelette--it is so big that we usually have some leftover even after splitting it!

My family and I will never eat at Naples ever again! The pizza tasted like something we could buy in the freezer seciton at Safeway and their service is horrible.

I personally don't like the Jazz Kitchen either. Overpriced (although what isn't at DLR) and not very good.

I agree! We got it for my niece and couldn't believe how small and how bad it was. She ended up eating it but immediately said she was still hungry. It's almost a joke of a portion!

I don't like the Villiage Haus. It's wildly crowded and the food is bleh.

I was going to mention Village Haus but I haven't been there myself. It's the one place that I've consistently seen bad reviews for. It isn't mentioned very often on the disboards (which should tell you something) and when it is mentioned it is always something negative.

I didn't like Jazz Kitchen that much either until I got their filet mignon (MIL was paying! :thumbsup2). That was really yummy but then again, it's hard to go wrong with a filet, lol.

It's interesting to hear the different opinions people have about what they didn't like.

I agree that Village Haus is the worst, but right at the top with Hungry Bear.
We had terrible corn dogs too, yecch and vowed never to try them again.
The kids portions in Toontown are a joke. The mac and cheese was like 1/3 of a cup, hardly 4 bites for my kids. So we just order them adult portions now wherever in the park. And they're only 3 and 5.

We like French Market. And Cafe Orleans.

While the food from Riverbelle Terrace (lunch) was okay, we were disappointed for the price, and the long line moved SO SLOW. We can eat at Carnation Cafe for less per person, and we get table service, a reservation, and better atmosphere! Plus really yummy food!

Also love the corndogs from the little cart at the end of Main Street.

We won't even try Village Haus or Hungry Bear after the number of negative comments I have read here. We didn't enjoy our one visit to Rancho del Zocalo so have felt no inclination to return. We have never had a tasty burger in the parks so avoid those from wherever. I do like the filet mignon burger at Jazz Kitchen in DtD though. I know I am probably in the minority here, but we didn't enjoy any of our food at Cafe Orleans. That was two years ago, and maybe the kitchen and serving staff were just having an off day, but the pommes frites that everyone raves about on here didn't impress, my chicken sandwich was bland and disappointing and way over-priced for its size and quality. DH's ratatouille was only ok and seemed a very small portion. The kid meals that the boys didn't fill them up and were boring. Service was so lousy and the food so disappointing, that we didn't even stay to try the legendary beignets, probably missed the only good part. We absolutely hated the pizza slices at Napolini in DtD, but I have read good things about the pizza served inside Naples, so I can't figure out if these pizzas are different or the same. None of us very much like the pizza at Pizza Port in Tomorrowland, but we all enjoy the pasta there.

I don't think that Village Haus or Hungry Bear are HORRIBLE, but I don't choose to eat there. I also don't like the Tigger Tails and everyone raves about. Too sweet for me, give me a carmel apple, a churro, or a brownie any day. I also don't care for *gasp* Dole Whips. They taste like plastic to me.

The place I thought was the worst (Pizza Ooh Mow Mow?) is gone now. Though I don't know if Boardwalk Pizza when they put it in will be any better. We thought getting two pizzas would be a good way to get a cheap meal. But they were not very good. Edible, but defintely nothing close to decent pizza.

I know this goes against what a lot of folks say, but I found the three-cheese Monte Cristo to be so greasy it was practically inedible for me. The pommes frites were OK, but those two things together in a meal are waaaaay too much for me.

I feel the same way about the universally beloved corn dogs. Blasphemy, I know. :scared:

Oh I wonder if it was just a bad cook or something? I love the three cheese monte cristo because to me it's not greasy at all! I've had it three times and all three times it was perfect. Bummer :(

I just want to say that I agree with every word you just typed. :)
