What don't you like to eat....

We loved the food at Rancho del Zocalo!

However, the meat skewers at Bengal BBQ were horrible. Absolutely awful. I haven't been that disappointed in a meal in a long time. (The veggie one was good though, but the potato wasn't fully cooked). The "spicy" one was really more like meat smothered in pepper. Come on, really?! Pepper? :sad2: Bengal BBQ was such a huge disappointment to us, maybe because it was late, we were hungry, and nothing else was open!

I did not enjoy the Three Cheese Monte Cristo at Cafe Orleans. It was like a hunk of grease on a plate...and the batter wasn't even good. When it cooled off towards the end of the meal it was hard and lumpy. Truly inedible.

Village Haus ranks right up there. We ate there our first night in the park because it was so late and we were famished. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good.

Favorite? GCH Room Service. I got to craving fresh veggies one night when we were there so I ordered a veggie plate. It was beautiful, fresh, and quite satisfying. I probably could have eaten two! (Red bell pepper slices, petite carrots, squash, asparagus, tomatoes, dip. YUMMY!)

I agree with what has been said about Pizza Oom Mow Mow, thank goodness it's gone. Terrible pizza. I hope that whatever replaces it will have better food.

I know it is off-topic, but does anybody know what is coming in its place??? I hated that place, just wanted to add.

My list of what I don't like would be longer than what I do. I am a picky picky fussy eater and a pain to go out with. I like Mexican food, but very plain boring Mexican. For instance a taco with meat only. No lettuce, tomato, etc. Same with my burgers, plain, plain, plain. I like the chicken at plaza inn, but last time it wasn't cooked. I am an in and out fan so I like a good burger. For me though the burger is all about the meat. It needs to be fresh not frozen, so that leaves most burger joints at Disneyland out. I like plain boring food. I don't like anything in NOS. I like the chicken at the BB. I come from a family that had a welsh father who only liked meat and potatoes, no fish or cassarolls. So that is what I still eat at 60. Pretty sad. It drives my husband crazy because he is from France and enjoys all different kinds of food. sigh.

Very interesting thread. My husband and I are going to DL on Friday. I grew up in California and have been to DL many times. This will be his first trip. Last year, we went to WDW -my first time, his third. I'm trying to prepare him for DL, in that his food expectations have been set by WDW. I've told him that the food at DL is no where near as good. Personally, I find most of the places to eat in the parks just OK. Some of the restaurants in DTD are pretty good. But one of our favorite things about WDW is the restaurants, and I think hubby is going to be very disappointed with DL, food-wise.

Oh, I forgot about Pizza Oom Mow Mow! Worst pizza ever! Good riddance!

We went twice last trip - DD loved it but we didn't - service was really slow too. I didn't know they closed it - the decor at least here was very nice.

We are another family who hated the Monte Cristo's at CO that everyone raves about - way too greasy and sickly for us.

I always see threads about where/what people like to eat, I'm curious where/what people don't like, if any :) or is there anything that is your absolute fav? I'm dining planning :) Thanks!

I don't like the Monte Cristo. It was over priced, greesey mostly deep fried breadding. I'll stick with Subway.

Rancho del Zocalo is horrible in IMO. You would think since DL is in Southern California they would have better Mexican food.

I know it is off-topic, but does anybody know what is coming in its place??? I hated that place, just wanted to add.

From what I've heard, another pizza/pasta place, but with a different ("Victorian boardwalk") theme. I sure hope the food improves!
