what does your family collect?

My family does pressed pennies and magnets from everywhere. My brother and I have a ton of pins from Disney World.. and I have extensive collections of piggy banks, post cards, and stuffed animals... also, from Disney World I have a tradition of buying a new pair of drum sticks from the Rock'n'Roller Coaster every trip... that'll amount to quite a collection in time :D

I collect Disney snowglobes, and longaberger. (i've had to cut back on longaberger to pay for our trip- my choice)

Oldest DD- Pins Youngest- Stuffed Minnies, and she is goin to try the pin thing this trip.

DH- books- any, and all. Also Donald, is his favorite character, so anything w/ Donald Duck. He also has a few pins.

Hi Peggy!
I use to collect the bears also. I stopped about a year ago. I have some that go waaaay back and some from other countries. They are sitting in a curio (about 150-200 of them) cabinet just taking up room! :sad2: I gave up the hunt when I became obssed with Disney. :rotfl:
I actually paid for 2 complete trips ( fir 5 of us) when beanies were "hot" many years ago by buying and selling them :earseek: I use to wait in lines at 4:00AM :earseek: to get good ones-back in my crazy days... :rolleyes1

We sound like two of a kind. I started a long time ago as well. I have a huge curio cabinet filled with them. I don't know why I keep buying them. It's a sickness!

My three kids collect pressed pennies. Not just at Disney, but everywhere. They get excited when we come across a machine on vacation, zoo, parks. Lots of fun for them and not expensive for me. :rotfl:

I like to "collect" soap. In whatever hotel we're staying in, I take the soap and shampoo and whatever else there is. Everyone thinks I'm very strange, but you just wait until there's a soap shortage! THEN who'll be laughing? I also collect pins. And I do mean collect. I just buy them and keep them, I don't see the point in trading away an awesome pin I just paid $12.00 for!

I collect Tinker Bell figures and Disney snowglobes. I also collect pressed pennies, I don't think I will ever get too old for that. It is a cheap collection by comparision!
My finace collects those Disney outline sketches you get in the Art of Disney. Everytime we get one we have to buy another matching mat and giant frame to match the rest. It costs an arm and a leg!
