My waitlist for BWV just came in the mail- It was automatic from OKW to BWV- anyway it says pool/garden view is it possible I will have a view of the parking lot? I am taking my mother for member homecoming, first time we've travelled alone together and me without the kids. I want everything to be perfect. I wanted BWV so it would be easy to get to Epcot and everything else. I've never stayed there- we own at WLV and BCV (but haven't stayed there yet either) Anyway can someone help me qith what to expect.

Thanks

If you have booked a preferred view room you won't be looking at a parking lot (although I understand some of those views really aren't bad). The Preferred View garden/pool designation is just differentiating from the Preferred View boardwalk view. If you'd like the boardwalk view, ask to be put on the wait list for that.

The views for pool/garden at BWV range from Luna Park main clown pool to the Community Hall/Quiet Pool south of there and depending upon vantage point may include Swan/Dolphin, path to MGM, canal to MGM etc....There may be other more detailed views as well

thanks

I have read posts from those that say they got a preferred view that had a view of the valet parking lot in the distance. I have never gotten a view like this in a preferred view room during many stays in a BWV and really can not even invision where this room would be. It must be one of the rooms that are just at the cut off pt where the view changes from standard to preferred. But this might be something you want to keep in mind. Asking for a quiet pool view is a real safe bet, those rooms have great views. Have a wonderful trip.

Our standard room in December faced the valet parking lot from the bedroom balcony (the living room balcony faced the fountain and the bridge to self parking). The valet lot is on the left side of the entrance road, right before the pond. In our room, the valet parking lot was behind some trees, we could also see the pond, the canal and Tower of Terror. It was way at the end of the hall, the other side of the hall would have been facing the quiet pool. I always thought these rooms were standard, but some have reported getting them as preferred. There is also a marginal area facing the swan/dolphin at the other end of the resort, some get these rooms as standard, some preferred. Both of these "marginal" areas are long walks from the elevator.

These are my favorite rooms....quite and peaceful ...usually the view is very pretty ( pond, trees, grass) and the walk I look at it as a shorter walk to MGM:sunny: :sunny:

Me, too!

Thanks everyone

A view of the quiet pool and such would e fine, as long as its not the parking lot. I'll wait and see when I get there, maybe I'll check it out when I'mm there in Feb.

I though pool/garden also included main courtyard looking at BWI over the grassy area.

I'm curious about that as well. Like Paul, I thought that was "garden" but I've heard reports that sound like it might be "boardwalk". So, anyone have a guaranteed boardwalk view that looked over this courtyard? (I think it's actually a pretty nice view.)

I'm one of those folks that paid PV points for (primarily) a view of the valet parking lot---so they do exist unfortunately. I also had a view of a grassy area and the canal (thus where they get the "garden view" perhaps ??). But from inside the room, looking out of the balcony doors, all I could see was the valet parking lot and service area driveway. Once out on the balcony I could see the canal and the TOT off to the right. So this room was a double-edged sword. IF you went out on the balcony and turned 90 degrees to the right you got a great view of TOT in the distance. But I'd still say 80% of the view was the parking lot. I have had other BWV owners say I must have been right on the cut-off of SV and PV views. I was in #4131 and this was also all the way towards the end of the hallway. If I had a "pool/garden view" booked on PV again, I'd definitely specifically request pool view so as not to get this room again----unless someone likes the TOT in the distance---but you can only see this when you're standing out on the balcony and looking to the right. I'd prefer to pay SV points for primarily a view of a parking lot over getting a glimpse of the TOT when I'm standing on my balcony, but that's just me ? I thought the pool views were very nice (the quiet and main pools both). Just a head's up.
