What does Disney send before your trip?

I'm booked my first trip to Disneyland for next month after numerous trips to Walt Disney World. I will be staying at GCH, and I was wondering if I should expect to receive anything in the mail from Disney before the trip? I know I won't be receiving Magic Bands or anything like that, but should I expect to receive park tickets or anything else before hand? If so, does anyone know the usual timing?

Thanks for your help!

When we booked through Disney in 2013, we got our park tickets, ART passes, and other documents, plus a lanyard and a pin for each traveler. They arrived around a month/three weeks before we left.

For my trip earlier this month, I received a packet in the mail from Disney. It had some of my travel information, itinerary, my park hopper ticket, my coupons for the Disneyland Resort Express bus and a coupon book. The coupon book had a coupon in there for the lanyard and pin. There was also a coupon for a Photo Pass 5x7 print. I almost forgot there was also a Disneyland luggage tag. I got my travel documents about 3 weeks prior to my departure date.

Wow, I've never gotten anything in the mail from DLR. Did you book full packages with them?

Basically yes (hotel and 5-day Park Hopper ticket). I used a friend, who is a Travel Agent, for this trip. But even if I had booked it myself, I believe I would have received this same packet in the mail.

You have to book hotel and tickets through the web site for the stuff to come in the mail. The park tickets have always been plastic credit card type things rather than paper. Now that we have annual passes and don't book tickets we don't get anything in the mail.

That explains it, I think. I book through the hotels for the room, but I rarely get my tickets that way (I get a discounted ticket, but have to buy at the park, can't do it online or even at the hotels...but that savings is immense, so it makes standing in line worthwhile.)
