My parents anniversary is November 4th. They were supposed to be on DCL that week, but my sister got pregnant and screwed that plan up! Anyway, we are now going on the 11/29 cruise instead. My father still wants to tell DCL that they will be celebrating their anniversary, since technically they will be. My mother thinks three weeks after the fact is too much and she doesn't want to tell them. My father really wants the anniversary pin that I guess they give out.

Do you think they should tell DCL about their anniversary, or not...

We were married October 27th but didn't take our honeymoon until December. We celebrated our anniversary on our December cruise last year. No big deal even if it isn't the same day. ENJOY AND CELEBRATE! :teeth:

Interesting...I wasn't sure, but I was kind of siding with my mother. My father will be happy with your thoughts! Thanks:D

I say CELEBRATE!!! Have the cake and anything else they offer! That is the reason for the cruise, so what if it's not the same day. Tell them, heck tell everyone!!! Who know's how many chances they will get to celebrate their anniversary, not to mention on a Disney cruise! If they won't tell, then tell me, I'll call Disney and let them know! I'm not shy. :teeth:

Tell them it is their anniversary. But don't expect a pin. We were on DCL for three anniversary and did not get any pins. Cakes but no pins. Last cruise my husband did get a birthday pin thanks to our wonderful Head Server Stephanie from Itlay.

CELEBRATE - it is not like they ask you to prove it and show the marriage license.

Have a great cruise!!

Definately tell them - doesn't matter if it's their actual anniversary or not - it's the reason for the trip! Don't expect a pin though. We just returned from our cruise - celebrating our anniversary, and we got cake and a card in our room, but no pin. I didn't think I'd like them singing to us, but it was short and made the evening extra special. Enjoy!

We celebrated our anniversary on our first cruise. It was the reason we booked the cruise, and I mentioned it to my TA just in passing that we had never had a honeymoon, and, after 27 years we thought the marriage would last, so that would be our honeymoon.

She must have told DCL, because on 5/30 they surprised (I should say shocked!) us with a cake in the dining room.

Our cruise in December is a joint celebration for three couples' anniversaries. SIL and her husband (10/22) DS and his wife (11/4) and us (12/30). It was the only time we could all be together!

Our first Magic cruise was 4 months after our 25th wedding anniversary, but we couldn't afford to go on the cruise closer to our anniversary because our DD had just gotten married so we had a lot of expenses from that.

We used a local travel agent, and told her the trip was for our anniversary and she passed that info along to Disney. We spent 4 nights at the Contemporary resort at Disney before the cruise and we were given a cute snowglobe and a nice night-time picture of the castle with fireworks and "Happy Anniversary" written on it. On the cruise we were given a cake one night at dinner and a few of the servers sang to us, it was nice.

I say go ahead and tell them about the anniversary, it doesn't matter if you are celebrating it late, you're still celebrating it!! :)
