If i was to fly into MCO @ 0820 PM and take Magical Express to boardwalk and meet my DW there who drove down ,would it be a good bet we'd make it to California Grill by 940?

I would say that it's not likely because you are taking Magical Express to Boardwalk. That could take an hour by itself and then you still have to get another form of transportation to the Contemporary (which will take even more time).

If you were taking DME to BLT, then you'd probably make it. Hope you have a great trip!:)

thanx mom. actually we'd be driving form BWV, my wife is meeting me there with a car.

There's virtually no chance of making that meal. The airport is 30-40 minutes away from WDW. It could take you 20-30 minutes to make your way through the airport and waiting time for a DME bus. Then there's no guarantee that BW would be the first DME stop.

That is all best-case scenario (no traffic, no delays by the plane or at the airport, no excessive DME delays).

If CG is a place you really want to eat, make the ADR for a different night. There's virtually no chance you'll make it on arrival night (and yo'd be charged a no-show fee).

If your wife picks you up there is a chance but I don't know if I would risk it with the no show charge (unless it doesn't bother you). Even a little delay in the flight or deplaning could throw things completely off. And do you have to get your luggage or will you just have a carry on?

I have to agree with the others. It might take you 15 minutes just to get off the plane, which may not be exactly on time.....I suggest trying for another night.

Barring plane delays, if she picks you up at the airport, you should make it. You've got an hour and twenty minutes. Just don't check your luggage! That late, traffic should be light.

ME woud probably make you pretty late.

Keep in mind the later in the day a flight is the greater the chance it will be late due to backed up delays that accumulate throughout the day. It's very possible this could work but there's a lot that could get in the way.

thanx for all your helps folks. My flight is scheduled to get in @ 805 not 820. Just carry on since she:s driving down. It's our favorite rest. there and our only night ,since we're going on The Dream the next day.Lot's to think about ,but maybe if I do get in late I can call and they'll still honor our reservation

I'm sure with a reservation that late, you shouldn't have too much of a problem being accommodated if you arrive late (if you call and let them know). What time is Wishes that night?

I used DME this morning to BWV. Our flight landed around 10:00am, we were at BWV around 11:10am. We stopped at POR first, then BW.

You could always eat in the lounge area of the California grill without a reservation. At that time of night I'm sure there would be availability. That way you don't have to worry about losing your dinner deposit. When we can't get a ressie we will go up and grab a lounge table and get lots of appetizers for dinner.

That's about 13 hours. The driver must have hit all of the red lights.

The lounge area? I always thought you couldn't get up to California Grill without a reservation. Humm. we really just wanted to go for sushi and a couple of margaritas.

You can usually ask at the check-in desk to go up to the bar. If they're swamped, sometimes they'll say no. But most nights you should be able to go up for drinks/appetizers.

I might have missed it but to make this reservation I don't think you can have any checked baggage. I think your only chance of making it is to have no checked baggage and have her pick you up curbside in a way to be able to head straight to the restaurant.
