wearing sunglasses inside?

That they forgot to change to their regular glasses before they left the car, cannot read the menu in the restaurant without glasses, don't feel like walking back to the car to get their regular glasses, so they will have to wear their sunglasses.

Or maybe that was just me the last time I went to a restaurant.

I have perscription sunglasses. There are times, when I go into the store to drop off a payment or pick up a perscription at the dr's office or pay for gas, that I don't switch back and forth between my two pairs. Quick in and outs, doesn't bother me in the least.

Now, if I see someone, which is usually in the 20something and younger age, walking around the mall or store wearing them, I think to be that young and full of myself to think that it makes me look hip and I am all that important that I need to wear shades inside to keep the people at bay. You can tell the difference between those that are perscription and those that are just pricey sunglasses.

I will also say, that one time my regular glasses broke and in such a way that you could not quickie fix and wear them. I had to go three days wearing my sunglasses every where. But I limited my running around, so that I wasn't wearing them outside at night and we didn't do any shopping.

that they just came from the eye doctor and had their eyes dilated...or that they think they are cool :rotfl2:

That they want to be left alone!

I went to the grocery store yesterday even though I was very sick. I needed to pick up my perscription and a couple of essentials: milk, bread, etc. before the big storm that just hit us. I am a teacher and I run into current and former students (and their parents) EVERY time I go out. I did not want to talk to anyone so I wore a big hat and sunglasses. Not super dark ones, more like lightly tinted eyeglasses. I did get some funny looks but in the state I was in, I didn't care.

Remember the actor Rob Lowe? He made a movie that was filmed in Dallas and while he was here, he worked out in the health club to which I belonged. The guys said he always wore sunglasses in the locker room.:rotfl::confused3:rotfl::confused3

I have prescriptions glasses and prescription sunglasses. I am forever putting sunglasses on in the car and then walking into a store (or house) in them because I forget to change back. I usually only realize it if I see my reflection or try to read. My regular glasses are bi-focals and my sunglasses are not.

So, tell me again, when I do this because I am absent minded, what is it you are all thinking about me? I'm a drug addict?!?!?!!!??? :scared1:

He didn't want to be labeled as a "peeker".....;)

I guess it depends on their age. My mom has had cataracts and sometimes still certain light bothers her eyes and she'll wear her sunglasses

IRL I don't really think too much about it. It is a pet peeve of mine when stars/celebs do interviews wearing sun glasses. RUDE RUDE RUDE. Same for county stars who wear their hats down so you can't see their eyes.

Crud see this is what I was afraid of. I had surgery on Tuesday and have a GROSS surgi strips all over my lower eyelid- bloody gross.

But I have shopping to do- and I was hoping that I could just slap on some big shades and hit the stores. Then I starting thinking about what I think when I see someone with them on.
Looks like I'll be staying home.

My first thought is they have sensitive eyes. Or, they are covering a blemish of some sort (black eye). Sometimes I think they just had eye surgery.

...to get over themselves!

Unless it's obvious (and I realize it's often NOT obvious) it's medical, rx glasses changing from sunglasses to regular, etc. It's mostly teens I see doing this for no apparent reason other than to try & act cool. If that's the case then I think it's disrespectful to cover your eyes when speaking directly to someone else.

Eyes recently dilated

An eye disease that causes photophobia

Someone too lazy to remove them.

Someone who has a problem with their eyes that perhaps makes them uncomfortable letting someone see that they are cross eyed, or has a red eye, etc

Someone who is blind

I don't really think about it, but I guess my first thoughts would be migraine or gradient lenses. My DD's glasses are really slow to change back to normal after they get cold in the winter temps.

:santa:

If it's a choice between grossing someone out or not then I would wear them. If I had to go out I would go. In your instance I think it's totally appropriate.
