Who Is Ready For Some Snow This Weekend?

About 16 plus here and now they are saying another good chance for another storm this weekend. Guess Winter is Wintering.

We have about 12 inches in my area of Northeast Ohio. It is still snowing now and we are supposed to get 1-2 inches more today and another 1-2 tomorrow with the next 2 days being in the -15--20ish wind chill. The snow right now is almost up to my knees.

It’s the same in my area of western NY. Not a big deal here really, but the cold is making everything worse. And it’s not going to warm up anytime soon.

Snow has pretty much stopped now, but now the cold has rolled in, like negative actual temps tomorrow. So today was a snow day (I work in administration for a college) and tomorrow is now a ‘cold’ day. I’m actually starting to miss work (a little). 😂

We definitely got less than the most dire forecast yesterday (called for 24-30)- somewhere around 15 right now, I think. It's still snowing but I don't think we'll add a ton tonight.

Middle Tennessee struggling with icy roads, downed trees due to ice, thousands without power, many offices closed, or just opening today. I still don’t have Internet, but thankful we didn’t lose power. Lots of ice on our trees though, and outside .
I’m guessing you’re either using data or at another place with a connection…

Schools still out in the Memphis area, I figure we'll be out all week. It's not going to get above freezing and we don't have the resources to deal with this as well as areas that are used to it. We had sleet, then snow and then freezing rain on top. I tried to move my car and it's now stuck

Schools still out in DFW. Haven't had precip since Sunday, but it hasn't been warm enough to melt anything. Supposed to be 40 today. DW is going to head in to the bank a little later to run some work (deposit anything that's been dropped in night/overnight box), and I'm going in to work for a bit as well. Just have to take it slow. We both drive small cars (Fusion and Chrysler). It's supposed to get above freezing any moment now. So hopefully things start to melt a little before we go in to the office.

Well, we had some above freezing temps here in N. Texas today but they are predicting ice fog and refreezing starting around now and going until 10 am or so. Because of that they called school again tomorrow. I'm beginning to forget what work is like since I was in Disney last week and came home to 3 days off of work. Really hoping to get a good melting after noon tomorrow so I can get out of the house, it's been quite a shock to go from every day outside on vacay to 4 days stuck in the house!

Even though our snow was supposed to be over, we still ended up with like 3-4 inches more snow today.

With forecasted temps not expected to reach 30F for the next two weeks, we have mounds of snow (like 5-6 feet high at the end of our driveway) that might now melt until May 🤨

Schools are still closed here. Half of the districts closed Friday for the temps and all schools have been closed Monday for the snow, and the rest for the temps. Looking like they might be closed the next 2 days as well for the cold.

My dad lives in Kentucky and they have lost power but are doing ok.

I believe schools are closed in our county and the surrounding counties as well. I've still got an employee who can't get down her driveway who is working from home.
Looking like we may get a few more inches of snow in our area this Saturday/Sunday - well it's still up for debate but possible. We both have 4WD so will be leaving one of them behind for our house/dog sitter to use since we are going out of town and have a long driveway off of a back road.

Looks like spring break will be cancelled if we go long on closures down there…

I work at a college and we are working and having class remotely, but I have no idea what the school districts are going to do. The roads are still a mess and we may get more precip this weekend and maybe next week. I have no idea how long they can close without having to make up days.

Where I am, they go by hours in school so they have built in extra hours as each day. The last I heard we get like 15-20 days a year. Each district can set this up differently. I know a school on the east side has already used up there days because they had a power outage earlier this year where it sounds like they were out a few days.

DS's college has not missed a day yet. They have gone remote a few times but if the temp is low they just send an email to students giving them tips to stay warm when walking to class.

DD's has either closed or delayed start. So we will see what they do if this continues. Though there plan might be to just have them come in when the temps are low. We are no warmer than yesterday and there was no delay today though she did say that the roads we were cleared better today than yesterday.
