You guys mentioned many of my favorites. Firefly, Foundation, Cowboy Bebop, X-Files. Also liked Wheel of Time, the first season of Raised by Wolves, Umbrella Academy, Misfits, Preacher, Altered Carbon.
Since Someone mentioned samurai - I did like "Into the Badlands" and I guess that could also be called Sci Fi ( has been described as "a high-octane sci-fi martial arts series" )

That was a good one.. I think it fell apart a bit at the end but I liked it also. I was coming back to add American Gods, Lovecraft Country, and His Dark Materials none of which might be strictly sci fi but I really liked them all.
I’ve been a Doctor Who fan since 1972 and still enjoy rewatching the classic era episodes, and I’m excited for the 60th anniversary specials that will be aired very soon.
Yeah a common problem - especially with US TV shows - they have enough material for a season or two - but run out of ideas and ways to keep it going and interesting.
Outside the US many of these shows are planned to only be a few seasons from the start. More shows or seasons just drag it out to where its disappointing.
One exception is The Prisoner (needs to be on my list) - was planned for I think 12 Episodes and the BBC made them add 6 more - and those 6 are a bit iffy to say the least. (may have the numbers (no pun intended ) wrong but that's the jist anyway)
Stargate baby! All three of them - SG-1, Atlantis AND Universe! The (original) Prisoner is a blast from the past too! [ETA] Doctor Who can do no wrong! Andromeda was fun, in a cheesy sort of way
Stargate SG1 is my favorite sci fi and show of all time
i also liked the following
stargate atlantis
Star Trek voyager
deep space 9
ST: lower decks (this one is funny and has lots of references from all the other shows)
x-files
Dark- a German Netflix show. Lots of twists and turns but very well done.

Posting to mention "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" since it hasn't been mentioned. The movie was OK, the original BBC series was great.
The first two seasons of "Orphan Black" are phenomenal - after that they are just OK
I likewise really enjoyed "Eureka". The last season was a bit of a stretch but I still enjoyed it. I'm glad they stopped when they did and gave it a proper ending.
Anybody else watch "Avenue 5"? It's not as LOL funny as it could be but I do find it entertaining if for no other reason than it's just so bizarre. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.
