Ok. After quite a bit of decision making, I think I have figured out where to dine on my upcoming trip. This is a solo, 10-day MYW w/dining trip. What do you think of the places I've listed? Anywhere you'd change? There are a couple that I can't decide upon.

Day 1:
Fountainview Cafe (lunch)
Rose & Crown (dinner after Candlelight Processional)

Day 2:
Sassagoula Floatworks (lunch)
Crystal Palace (dinner) pooh: :tigger: :eeyore:

Day 3:
Boulangerie Patisserie (lunch)
Cosmic Ray's (dinner)

Day 4:
Tusker House (lunch)
50's Primetime Cafe (dinner)

Day 5:
Boardwalk Bakery (lunch)
Le Cellier (dinner)

Day 6:
Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch)
Tusker House (dinner) -- Is there another good CS place @ AK?

Day 7:
Casey's (lunch)
Concourse Steakhouse (dinner)

Day 8:
Sommerfest Counter (lunch)
Cape May Cafe (dinner)

Day 9:
Either Les Chef's de France or Coral Reef (lunch)
Either 1900 Park Fare or Whispering Canyon Cafe (dinner)

Day 10:
Crystal Palace (early breakfast)
Sassagoula Floatworks (lunch to go)

Hi
You have some really good places. I am going to answer the one who had a question next to. AK has Flame Tree BBQ as well as Tusker House. I did Tusker House last trip and we are doing Flame Tree this trip. Tisker House is really good. Good quality food and the seating area is huge and has alcoves as well so you can be right in the middle of it all or find a cozy spot somewhere.

Mkygrl, Thanks for your input. I really like Tusker House and have always been pleased with the food & service. Will have to take a look at Flame Tree's menu.

Anyone else?

Just giving this a little bump. Any other comments, suggestions, etc.?

do you really want to do CP twice?? How about CRT instead?

The only thing I can coment on is AK:

FLAME TREE was great!!! Beat out several of our TS places as best place to eat along with Seasons in the Land at Epcot, this is a must do at Epcot for CS imo.

I am going to try Tusker this trip but did LOVE FT!

have fun!!

you have lots of the same options as I do for my Aug trip so I will come back with a very detailed report with pics and everything!!

(I am an EXPERIENCED trip reporter now!! So I KNOW what to look for!!)

Looks good to me. I did a ten day solo trip last May and loved it. Just a couple of comments though:
1. Check in early at Rose & Crown and ask if you can wait for a patio table. The view if Illuminations is good while you're eating dessert, and yes solos can get one of those tables. I did last May.

2. Be sure to get a Peanut buter/jelly shake at Prime time. Delish!

3. I really like Flame Tree Bar-b-que at AK, better than Tusker House.

4. At Casey's get your hot dog, sit outside, and listen to the piano player as you gaze at the castle. I love to do this on my very first day.

5. If you decide on the Coral Reef be sure to ask for a table next to the fish tank.

I know you just asked about dining, but have you thought about doing some of the tours. I did the KTTK tour in MK, Backstage Safari at AK, and Around the world on a Segway at Epcot. There were solos in every tour I went on and with KTTK, lunch is included at Columbia Harbour House.

Have fun!

I have a Segway tour booked at EPCOT during my stay, so I'm really looking forward to that.

Haven't been there yet, but I hear consistently good reviews of Flame Tree in AK.

My only comment is that you're eating in a Steakhouse 2 nights in a row, maybe you want to change that up a bit.

personally, your menu looks awesome u are going to have a great time! and we may bump into each other there....i am at POFQ from dec 2-9th!!!! if you see a family of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids) who are constantly bickering with each other (but to bicker at disney is way much better than to bicker at home) thats us LMAO

We did a late lunch seating at CP our 1st trip with the kids and loved it. However, on our last trip we did CP breakfast and I really was not crazy about it. Maybe it was a bad morning?? It was packed due to some type of school group but the food was not very good and there didn't seem to be as much of a selection as we'd had the first time. I would not do CP twice in one trip and we will not do the breakfast again at all.

cjsmith, Thanks for that catch. I missed that one. Will swap it with the Cape May Cafe.

Too funny!! :rotfl2: Will keep an eye (or better yet an ear) out.

mama4, That's too bad that you did not have a good meal at the CP. I've been for both lunch & dinner and have always been pleased. I was thinking about Chef Mickey's, but thought being inside the MK prior to opening would be better.

Day 1:
Fountainview Cafe (lunch) Sounds Great for a light lunch with a great dessert.
Rose & Crown (dinner after Candlelight Processional) Wonderful choice and be there fore fireworks they have a great spot to watch

Day 2:
Sassagoula Floatworks (lunch) Don't miss the Beignets
Crystal Palace (dinner) Too noisy and too many little kids if you are on your own

Day 3:
Boulangerie Patisserie (lunch) Great quiche and cheese plates
Cosmic Ray's (dinner) Never ate there

Day 4:
Tusker House (lunch) Had breakfast there on our last trip and was not thrilled
50's Primetime Cafe (dinner) Lots of fun, but stick with the basics for food

Day 5:
Boardwalk Bakery (lunch) desserts are great, but not sure what the food choices are
Le Cellier (dinner) yum

Day 6:
Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch) never been
Tusker House (dinner) -- Is there another good CS place @ AK? we couldn't find anywhere that was good

Day 7:
Casey's (lunch) never ate there but love the Plaza across the way
Concourse Steakhouse (dinner) never ate there

Day 8:
Sommerfest Counter (lunch) we love the bratwurst
Cape May Cafe (dinner) yum

Day 9:
Either Les Chef's de France or Coral Reef (lunch) I'm not nuts for either and would probably eat at B&C or ESPN on the Boardwalk
Either 1900 Park Fare or Whispering Canyon Cafe (dinner) we like WCC

Day 10:
Crystal Palace (early breakfast) consider Boatrights or Spoodles for breakfast
Sassagoula Floatworks (lunch to go) excellent again

Exactly my reason for wanting to do Crystal Palace breakfast our last trip. Dh thouhgt I was crazy for wanting to have bfast that early but he loved walking into MK and feeling like we were the only family there -until we arrived at CP of course :teeth: Anyway, in that respect, CP brkfast would be worth it.

Looks good. As for AK, right now the only real places there to dine are Rainforest Cafe, Tusker House and Flame Tree BBQ. However, they are building an Asian restaurant in the EE area that will have both table service and counter service sections as well as retail space. It was announced to officially open in Summer 2007, but I don't know how much 'wiggle room' there might be in that date. If the crowds around EE get huge this summer, I'd bet they'll speed up construction as much as they can, maybe opening part of the place earlier even. In any event, it should be there for your 2007 MNSSHP trip!

I just have to add my two cents on the Concourse Steakhouse. It is wonderful! The steaks were, of course, excellent, as was the lobster bisque and everything else that we ordered. You'll have a great time there. Enjoy!

Ditto on the concourse steakhouse, really good!! The desserts were fantastic! We also liked Flame Tree, and the seating is all around in the wooded area. We found a table in a covered gazebo next to the water. We really enjoyed the BBQ, the pork sandwich was great.

Have fun!!

Thanks everyone for your input. There is so much to choose from at WDW, it's hard to decide. Want to get the most from the meal plan.

Question about WCC for dinner. Ate there for lunch and loved their fried chicken. Don't see it on the dinner menu. Is it offered if asked for or not?

Lunch @ EPCOT. Anywhere else you would suggest for a basic (I'm pretty picky) lunch at a place at/near EPCOT that is covered under the meal plan?
