As I've written before, this will be the 1st time dh & I are going to WDW. We're only staying for 4 nights, but I couldn't decide between POR or CR. I finally picked the CR garden wing at $883. Then I started reading a bunch of negative reviews on the garden wings. On this board I learned about "split stays". So I think we've finally decided to do 2 nights at CR in a tower room with MK view, and 2 nights at POR. It comes out to be $876. I'm actually saving $7. :D

We really wanted CR for the monorail access, room service and atmoshpere. Will only 2 nights be a tease for us? Will it be hard to go to POR afterwards? Although I have heard great things about POR. What do you think?

Hi Sasha-

I have never stayed at either resort, but I think most would advise you to do Riverside first, then CR. You generally don't want to downgrade.

Personally, I wouldn't split a 4 night stay. I wouldn't enjoy packing and unpacking twice in a 4 day span, but that's just me!

Have a great trip regardless!!!

Erin:)

I would agree with the previous post. Four nights is a rather short trip - I wouldn't split resorts. If for some reason I HAD to split resorts on a 4 night stay, I would do the moderate first.
You will be having so much fun, you won't want to spend precious time checking in and out and unpacking.
Just my 2 cents worth...

The wings are not bad at all! I'm sure you'd love them! The rooms are exactly the same as in the tower (with the exception of the bathroom, the one vanity has 2 sinks and the other just is a counter, in the tower there is one sink at each). The walks from the tower to the wing aren't bad, either.

I have split stays before, and I would not do it for 4 nights (2 at each). That is just a waste of precious vacation time. I personally like to stay put for an entire stay, and probably would only do a split again if I am staying for 2 weeks.

I have to agree with everyone that's posted - don't split your stay between POR and CR. Your trip is too short to waste time in packing/unpacking/checking in/checking out.... My opinion would be to stay at CR with your garden room as booked. You'll love the monorail access!!
