Ok our next trip is in a couple of weeks and we are doing some firsts and want advise.
The first thing is we are staying at the Best Value Inn for the first time. Although it is 1.5 miles away it includes buffet breakfast and a light dinner daily. Also a free hotel shuttle every 1/2 hour. Has anyone every stayed there?
Also we are doing Goofys Kitchen for the first time. It will be lunch on Tuesday June 17 at about noon. We have priority ressies. What can we expect or where should we ask to be seated?
Lastly why in the world is DL closing at midnight on 6/16 and 6/17 but closing at 9 pm on 6/18. Anything going on ???
Help and advise appreciated.

The night that DL closes at 9 will be for Grad Night. (probably the last one of the season.)

Hello, we have seating reserved at Goofy's Kitchen for 11:15 the same day! Just look for a family of 5, a very excited daughter who is 3 and two boys ages 10 and 12! And yes the park closes early for grad night two of the nights that week. Are you planning to see Fantasmic? Since we've never been to Disneyland (we're from the East Coast) we don't want to miss it. Apparently it is only showing the nights that the park is open until 11 p.m. Have fun!

Don't miss Fantasmic! Especially if the only one you've ever seen is that "nice try" effort in Orlando! :) Love WDW, but wow, Fantasmic is so much better at Disneyland.

Thanks everyone for your input. We do plan on seeing Fantasmic. I called to get info on the dessert thing they do with the seats on the Disney Gallery and they said it was $47 per person regardless of age, they have about 21 people per show and it is not a dessert buffet anymore but you can choose some desserts. I didn't go for it since one of my sons is visually impaired, the seats are furthur back than if I claim some as close as possible. Well see you all at Mickeys House!!!!

BTW, the easiest way to get great seats at Fantasmic is actually fairly simple, especially if there's several people in your group.

I have smaller kids, so the later show isn't possible for me. I've read that many people prefer the later show as it's easier to get a good viewing spot.

If you want a great seat for the first show, then bring a blanket. Plop that blanket down around 5 p.m. Yes, I know it's early, but you'll be front and center, and it really doesn't get better than that.

Put the blanket down and then have one person stand guard over your area until the show. We usually switch off the duty while we go on rides, and then we generally eat dinner on the blanket as well. I also like bringing something to read. Anyway, I only do that a couple of times a year and you end up with the best seats in the house! :)
