FP+ will only give you one entry to that ride though, and I guess the value for some people is being able to re-ride (hopefully) multiple times. At busy times of the year, when it's harder to get a FP+, if you or your child LOVED one of the rides, getting those multiple rides might be worth the money.

Makes total sense. Since it's DD's first time, not sure how she'll feel about that, so I think we're a one time ride assumption at this point. Could you theoretically get a 2nd FP+ for later in the day for the same ride? Not likely due to crowds I guess but just wondering.

Isn't the EMM hour beginning at 7:00? There are no pre-park opening reservations that early, so people with the EMM tickets will, indeed, get into the park with an almost empty Main Street. People with BOG and CP pre-open ADR's won't be in the park until almost an hour later, and I suspect by that point that EMM people will be well on their way to their 8th or so go around on 7DMT.

Nope. It starts at 7:45.

Providing there is availability, yes, you can.

Theoretically, yes. For 7 dwarfs a second is very unlikely, PP i think is hit or miss and Pooh is the easiest

Are you sure early ADR people will be allowed in at 7:45?

Why wouldn't they be? Especially if they have one of the first ADRs at 8:00am - they're going to need time to get to the restaurant. The Parks blog author responded to a comment about ADRs (granted, the comment was about what happens after the ADR) by saying "Breakfast guests will be treated the same as they are today." I would think that extends to park entry for the ADR as well as leaving when you're finished eating.

Anyways, I'm just tired of being squeezed out of the few extra dollars that I have so that millionaire corporate execs can get an even bigger bonus check...

It's about maximizing shareholder value, which is their job. It's what they are hired to do. The board approves the bonuses and the board is appointed by shareholders.

Oh ok thanks. We have never done an early breakfast. I was thinking of getting one for CP. There is one at 8:20am, would this be to late to be done by 9:00?

This is a cute idea - if you're a morning person. Personally, I am not. Especially, with the time change. They are definitely targeting younger families with early-bird kids (i.e.: no thrill rides open, fantasy land-centric). The night-time one would be cool to attend but that one costs way more and is a bit steep for an average family. By comparison the two parties MNSSHP and MVMCP are much less and you seem to get a bit more - special parades, fireworks, character meets...

You changing people's posts is getting really irritating. Just because you don't like what they are saying doesn't give you the right to change their words.

If you don't like any one particular poster you can easily block them so you don't see their posts.

Btw, I've had more than one poster "fix" a post of mine. It wasn't offensive, and is only a different way of expressing their own point of view.

This is slightly less insane than the $50/hour night event (in my opinion). We would personally never use it because we aren't fans of the open rides. For $69, I feel like there should be some "exclusive" event to give it more value (an extended welcome show, mini-castle show, Character-palooza type random meet). I mean SOMETHING besides 3 rides and a breakfast.

Yes I realize that, and I also realize this is a capitalist economy...etc etc...I just think at some point trying to maximize shareholder profits starts to negate the quality of the product. Will this particular attempt to maximize profits adversely affect the overall experience of my next Disney trip? Probably not, but my point is that should Disney continue with initiatives like this, the "average" consumer will be negatively affected because they can't afford to pay the extra fees.

It similar to concerts; you used to be able to get up early, line up at the ticket booth and pretty much be guaranteed a great seat at a reasonable price (like rope drop at Disney). Now, if you want the first 10 rows for a show (assuming you can even get access to them, but that's another story), be prepared to pay the $150 or so for the ticket, plus be forced to buy a package for an extra $500 for a meal, t-shirt and some souvenirs, whether you want them or not. All in the name of maximizing profits...it just gets old really really fast. There is more to life than making money.

But they keep selling them. The parks are packed, the concerts are sold out.

And no, there is not more to life than money making. That's their job. They balance everything out and determine how to make the most money now and into the future. If this decision negatively impacts earnings in the long term, then they are not doing their job. I suspect it won't, though.

And you don't have to buy anything. There's no requirement, if you don't see value.

They don't have to pay the extra fees though they are completely optional. The key word here is optional, and its not like this is the first or only extra Disney has offered. They have been providing guests with extra special experiences at an extra cost for a long time, and the parks are still being filled and the extra events are selling to the average consumer.

I'm not convinced that anyone will be able to ride these attractions multiple times in that one hour. It really depends on how many tickets Disney sells to this.

I agree. I'm waiting to see reviews of the first couple before I bite the bullet and buy tickets to it. I'm interested if we can ride PP and Pooh several times in a row. Last year my DD did not understand why we couldn't get back on PP after we rode with FP+, the line thing just escapes little kids.

I voted no way, because it's only 3 rides.

And I say this as someone who just bought the $150 after dark ticket for at night.

I think the nighttime one is a better value because there's something like 27 rides available.
I know it just makes no sense on why they wouldn't open all Fantasyland rides.
