What do you think? How do you feel about them? If you had it done, how was it (that is if you're not too embarrass to say it here)? How was the procedure? Were you satisfied? Thanks

PM me if you like. Thanks.

Is that you in your signature? You're beautiful. 3 steps for you:

1. Realize that you are perfect the way you were made, and anyone who thinks otherwise isn't worth your time.
2. If needed, buy a Wonderbra. ;)
3. Take the money you would have paid for the surgery and live large with your kids at Disney for a week. ::yes::

And I agree with HeyMickey - When I see your posts I always think you look just beautiful.

I agree you are so pretty and big breasts aren't all they are made out to be. My bad breaks half the time....tell you what I'll have a reduction and you can have some of mine...LOL!

Seriously though you are gorgeous!!

It's weird how people in different areas have different opinions about plastic surgery. Where I used to live, only "trashy girls" got them. Ha! Here in FL, if you're over 18, under a C-cup, and don't have them, it's because you're too poor! It's almost expected for everyone to have them here. If you want them before living here, you will have a very hard time fighting the urge after moving here.

I think breast implants look okay. They do look fake and you can always tell who has them. I wouldn't mine having mine big, round, and perky like most breast implants look however, I would be too afraid to get them. With all the complications that could happen I would NEVER even risk it. I agree w/ the wonder bra...they really do work :teeth: and the benefit of it is that they will still bounce not like the fake ones.. :teeth: PLUS...the extra money you would save for disney!!!!:Pinkbounc

Personally, I don't think it's worth the risk. But that's easy for me to say.

I don't have any reason to have implants.:o If I did have a need for them, I wouldn't get them though.

My mom had them done last year. Everything went smoothly. They came out perfect. She searched long and hard for her Dr. and was very happy with him and the results. Her recovery was very painful. Now she says it was all worth it. She was small chested her whole life. An A cup, now she is a large B, small C. When getting implants the size is measured by cc's so that's why it is in between those cup sizes. She is a beautiful woman and personally I didn't think she needed them. It was her decision and I supported her 100%. She loves herself, has a good self esteam and knows she is a beautiful woman. This is just something she wanted to do and she did it.

My sister also got implants this past Nov. She also had a tummy tuck. This was a major operation. It took weeks for recovery and she was in alot of pain. She had lost almost 100lbs, had breast fed 3 kids and let's just say she needed help! She is a "spin" instructor at a gym so she is really fit but, the excess skin wouldn't go away. She went from a B cup, before kids she was a C cup, to a large C, small D. Now her tummy tuck went fine but, she has problems with one of her implants. First let me say she researched Dr.'s, interviewed some, got referrals from patients, everything. Her Dr. is a correspondant for a tv network, has written books, has awards and came highly reccomended. Well, her implant is placed wrong. It's crooked! She has to go back to have it fixed. She didn't have a scar because she got the implant through her belly button. Now to fix the implant she will have a scar. Also she needs to get a lift! It should've been done and wasn't. She says even though this happened she is happy that she had them done and wouldn't change a thing. Except maybe an even boob!LOL

Getting implants is such a personal decision. Just keep in mind that anything can go wrong. It is an elective surgery. You are taking a risk. If that risk is worth it to you then good luck and be happy with your desision.

I also contimplated this and decided not to do it. To me the risk wasn't worth it.

Good luck:wave2:

tell you what I'll have a reduction and you can have some of mine...LOL!

Me too! I've always hated having huge boobs, but they came with the genetics. Not much I can do about that..other than try to get the insurance company to pay for a reduction.
:p

Can't say it any better, Telly, so I will just use the quote and repeat what Hilarie said.

I'm in a different situation. A couple of years ago I found out I had breast cancer. I had a mastectomy and a reduction on the other side. They started reconstruction at the time of my surgery. As I healed, I had to go into the doctor's office and get my expander injected with saline every week.

After several weeks of injections, they discovered that the extender had sprung a leak. I would need surgery to remove the leaky extender. After it was replaced, I would be back to square one and begin the injections again.

I asked if extenders and the actual implants leak very often. They told me that they last a number of years, but that at my age (I was 40 at the time) I would have to have them replaced in my lifetime. That would mean another surgery at some time in the future. I removed the extender and got a prosthesis. I'd had enough surgery and found I was comfortable with my body as it was.

The reason that I say all of that, is that I'm sure the same would be true for any implant. They don't last forever. Even if they are saline and not a health issue, you have to face an unexpected surgery when it leaks or remain lopsided. And every surgery does hold risks.

Think long and hard before you make a decision about this. You are beautiful just the way you are.

I don't like the way implants look BUT if you are an A cup or a very small B I could understand your decision to have them enhanced. The problem with implants is that most women go overboard. They always get a D cup. If you are very small go for a large B or very small C cup. Don't overdo it.

I had breast cancer when I was 32. After a mastectomy, I had silicone breast implants. Not only did I have an implant to replace the breast I lost, I let the doctor talk me into an implant on the other side to increase the size and make them match. God, I wish I hadn't done it.

The thing they neglect to mention when you talk about getting the implants is that your body will not like them. It doesn't happen right away, but after many years. You build scar tissue. It becomes very painful. When I had mine done, the doctor never mentioned that the implants have a lifespan. It is usually around 15 years. I am now at 20 years. I live in dread of their rupture. He told me to watch my mammograms very closely. If I should see a fuzzy line at the edge of the implant, it means that it has begun to leak and it will need immediate surgery.

Your probably asking why I keep them? Well, the insurance paid to have them put in after my mastectomy, but it will not pay to have them removed. It doesn't matter that they cause a great deal of pain. The only way they will pay to remove them is if they rupture. I've looked into having them removed without insurance. I found one doctor who told me that he would consider doing the surgery for free, however I could count on a hospital bill (surgery, recovery, pathology and all that goes with it) of somewhere between $60,000 to $80,000. I am still thinking it over. I have a daughter to put through college.

Here is something else to consider. Implants are heavy. They may not seem like it, but their extra weight pulls on your breast tissue. They will cause sagging. What looks good when your 20 or 30 may not look so great at 50. Since I have breast tissue on one side and not the other, I am now completely different sizes. I have to be very careful what I wear. A sweater with any kind of stripe is totally out of the question. Also, surgical removal is a much harder surgery than putting them in due to the scar tissue.

Please think very carefully before doing this. What I'd give to have two normal small breasts!

I could never do it....and I'm fairly small now (b cup). I would fear the unknown aspect of having a foriegn body implanted in me - yuck! I agree that everyone comes from different situations and each decsion must be unique, but please think long and hard about the long-term consequences of having implants. It's not like it would be easy to remove them at 80 when you don't care any more:rolleyes: ( I can't imagine being an 80 year old nursing home resident with implants...)

You are truly beautiful the way you look now, too:D I personally don't think you need implants to enhance your appeal. Now if you were ugly.....that's a whole 'nother story!

I believe everyone has the right to do what makes them feel good but I draw the line at any form of surgery.

Trying to match up with the "so called perfect" look that has been hawked to us via the media has become an obsession. I think it's more psychological than anything. I remember wanting to be PERFECT in my twenties, less of a need in my 30s and now... hey, being healthy is more important than anything and the world will just have to DEAL with what they see!! :p

From what I know of you Telly, you character and your love of your babies make you more BEAUTIFUL than even your physical outside. Nothing can alter that.

God bless,

Robinrs

It's such a personal decision I think. But as others have said, you are gorgeous. I was just asking my dh this morning if he had ever seen your picture. You are so beautiful. But you need to do what you need to do. Personally, if it were me (I think) I would leave the beauty God gave you alone.::yes::
