My mom used to say the same thing - no one can see the number on the tag but they will all see if it's too tight. As for deciding before you try, you just never know - I thought I wanted a gown covered in lace, but when I tried on a couple like that I just laughed at how ridiculous I looked! I never thought I'd go for a traditional gown with a semi-cathedral train, but it looked best on me and it fit perfectly. I specifically did not want strapless, just a personal thing, but I remember my consultant at my bridal salon saying that strapless flatters everyone - skinny, larger, flat chested, large chested - it looks good on every figure type. So try, try, try and you will find the perfect gown!ead79 said:My mom always told me that no one can see the size of the dress, but everyone can see if it's too tight. Just be sure to get one that fits and in a style that flatters, and you'll look absolutely beautiful! Just try on dresses with and without straps/sleeves to see what you feel the most comfortable in. Also, many plus sized brides are wearing strapless these days and looking gorgeous!
