I think my daughter has entered the realm of the Doubting Thomas's. After she watched Nemo the other night, she asked me if Nemo can really talk. She's only 3! She's not supposed to be asking these questions yet! I told her that of course he can, why would she ask such a silly thing? She matter of factly points out to me that "fish can't talk, mom". There was a tone in her voice that made me think she also wanted to tell me I'm crazy for thinking they do. I told her, no fish can't talk, but Nemo can because he's a Disney fish. I don't even know if that made sense, but I needed an answer and I needed one fast Then she started asking if Minnie and Mickey talk, and when I told her yes, she asked why Mickey didn't talk to her when she met him. She was only 2!!! They really do remember. I looked at my husband with S.O.S. written in my eyes, begging for him to come up with a clever answer. None came to his mind, so I just said that if Mickey talked to all the little children he saw, he would never have time to visit with everyone, so he just waves and hugs us and that is all. So, now that she is beginning to figure things out, I want to prevent her from doing so for as long as possible. Please share some clever answers I can throw her way to get her off my back :rotfl2: Thanks much!!!

If Mickey and Minnie talked to everyone they met they would get a sore throat by the end of the day. Then who would greet the children the next day? :hyper2:
