What do you take to water parks?

Last trip, we did TL and BB in one day, resulting in paying for lockers at both locations. This trip, we are doing 3-4 water park days. I really don’t want to pay for a locker if I can avoid it. DH has a zippered pocket in his trunks and I have one in my rash guard. I’m thinking we put our drivers license and credit card in there, then wear our magic bands. We would be riding Disney transportation, so no need for car keys or phones. I could carry a small bag that I could leave at a chair with sunscreen and other items that would not be an issue if they got stolen (maybe snacks). We are not likely to be at our chair overly often.
What do you do?

I take a bag for clothes, sunscreen, etc and just leave on a chair. Nothing valuable so if it’s stolen, no big deal.

I put my phone, credit card and/or cash in a waterproof lanyard pouch that stays with/on me.

We did the same as the PP on our last waterpark trip. Bag for clothes and shoes on the chair, waterproof pouch for phone and other essentials that went with us. We didn't even bring credit cards and ID as we didn't plan to drink and we had our magicbands for food.

Bring along a tolerance for constant screaming (everywhere always) and Brazilian butt cheeks.
Not to hijack this thread, sounds like you have been. How do these water parks compare to off property water parks? Debating on doing one for the first time and not sure if it’s worth it to lose a Disney day on a water park experience that can be had elsewhere.

I take a mesh beach bag, towels, magic bands & sun screen. I don't bring any valuables so I don't have to get a locker.

Blizzard Beach is our favorite water park anywhere. (We like Typhoon lagoon as well.) When going to a local water park the summer after we went to Disney’s (which the local one is very large, not dinky at all) we kept saying “this isn’t Disney.” We actually went to Florida in September JUST to go to the Disney water parks. We have been to Aquatica as well and again did not feel it compared to Disney’s.

Thanks for the insight!

We bring a beach bag with towels, goggles, sunblock, etc. This past year I used one of those portable mini safes that you secure to the chairs for my keys, phone, sunglasses.

I have a waterproof pouch similar to this:
JOTO Universal Waterproof Case, IPX8 Cellphone Dry Bag Pouch

$11 through Amazon Prime

I use it for training (lake/ocean swimming) and it works awesome, so you can keep your valuables (phone, credit card, DL) with you and dry, and just leave a bag with towel, clothes on the beach chair.

It is Disney, so hopefully the chance of someone swiping your clothes bag is a bit less than a general public beach.

We take a bag with sunscreen and our cell phones. A hairbrush. Not much else. We get free towels from them to use because we are staying on site. We might bring water bottles if we have them. I wear sandals that are water proof but usually don’t need to wear them around the park. I have sensitive feet but am usually able to walk in enough shade or they have water spraying on the walkways enough that I can keep my feet cool enough from the pavement. I hate swimming in any kind of shoe. We don’t get a locker and luckily have never had anyone bother our stuff. I do spend less time swimming than the kid so often I will spend some of the time at our chairs.

I have the waterproof pouch on the lanyard that I put my car key in, with maybe a 20. In the Mickey Beach bag, goes the sunscreen, sunglasses, a dry t shirt and shorts to throw on if needed. I also bring a old Resort travel mug - the once you get with dining plan. The water parks have their own all day mugs you can buy but you can get ice and water with any mug.

You can always use the magic band for charging stuff if needed.

It’s really not losing a Disney day. You can hit the water parks for rope drop at 10am be back by 2 or 3 pm then venture over to park for rest of day.

The only competition with either of the Disney water park is US Volcano Bay, and ... on technical merits VB is a fine park. But honestly, I'm so done with Universal that I don't even bother anymore.

As a teenager I loved water parks. As a parent I find the chaos, pushy wet people, and the billion gallons of liquid murder an un-magical combination. It's the kind of place that begs for day-drinking except for the responsibility of keeping my children from drowning makes that a non-starter.

Also, I have a condition commonly referred to as facial blindness which means I have to look long and hard at people before I recognize them and ... that makes me look like a creep at water parks. So ... they're not really on my list of must-dos

If we have a WDW trip over 6 or 7 nights I try to get us into a water park once at least. But ever since they took out the Shark Reef at Typhoon Lagoon, there's just not much at a water park I just gotta see.

We have not gone to the water parks in a long time but when we did, we always had a beach bag. Water shoes, sunblock, hat, water, snacks, sunglasses and definitely one or two beach towels. Our towels stood out in the middle of a ton of white resort towels. Easier to spot our chairs when going back to our spot.

We carried our personal things in a waterproof case.

Ok totally OT, but I had to google that and wow, I had no idea that even existed! Yes I imagine that might get awkward...I just wanted to say thanks for sharing. You learn something new every day!!

Adventure Island is good, went there years ago. I know it's in Tampa but it's also good competition
