What do you NOT like about Wl?

We love the wl. and are hopefully staying this december, but one thing we don't like, the pool is on the small side, alot of chidren jumping { when we were there] in so you have to be careful!

We stayed at WL Club Level in November. DH loves the theming. Sadly, our stay was just OK. Our first room had something sticky all over the balcony and the air conditioning didn't work. We were moved to another room overlooking the pool. All day and all night there was a wining mechanical sound outside on the rood above us. To sleep we needed to pull the bedspread up over our heads to block this constant noise.

The night of our Mickey's Very Merry reservation the CL lounge's 5:00 pm service didn't open until almost 5:30 (they lock the doors to the lounge during setup), and then it was a madhouse when the doors finally were unlocked. This caused us to run late to catch the boat for MK. (Boat service was very slow the entire time.) We saw the MVMCP castle lighting from the boat far away from MK instead of inside the park where we'd planned to be.

I'm an early riser and like to go out walking/exploring at sunrise. The WL pool area and beach were a mess every morning with previous day's pool towels, previous night's plastic bar glasses, and other trash that hadn't been cleaned up at night. The left-over drink residue attracted MANY crawling and flying insects. We've stayed at five other onsite resorts with waterfront and never had seen this morning messiness and/insect problems at the pool or beach.

None of these complaints of mine would ruin a vacation. But they also are not the magical experience of other onsite resorts.

We love the WL and it's DH's favorite. We don't like the small QS (Roaring forks) -- still better than the QS at BWV and BCV. We also don't like the small main pool and small slide. The pool is too small for this resort. We don't use buses, so can't comment on that.

I love the theming of the WL. But as others here have said, the transportation by bus sometimes stinks. I also find the pool to be quite wimpy for such a nice resort. It's too small, and too shallow. In the hot summer, it's lukewarm and not at all refreshing.

The only thing I'm not crazy about is Roaring Fork, the counter/quick service place. The food has just never been all that great.

Other than that, I love every aspect of WL!

We love the WL.... and we really like the Roaring Forks.... we were there again in October and thought the selection of hot and cold food was excellent and the food was very good. I guess it is very subjective but I like their cafe the best out of all the resorts we have stayed.

We love the atmosphere and the boat transportation has always worked out fine for us. We have no complaints!

Out of all the Disney resorts, Wilderness Lodge is my least favorite. The hotel just seems so dark and gloomy....too woodsy for me.....BUT, I am from Wisconsin...I think it reminds me too much of home.

I greatly disliked WL. Roaring Forks was ridiculously small. While in the room, I could hear lots of noise from the hallway, as well as the music from the courtyard, the busses were always standing room only (2nd week of December), and mousekeeping was hit or miss (they skipped our room 2 days in a row).

Also, everything seemed so cramped and crowded. As a previous poster said though, everything is a matter of preferences. Some people like what I specifically didn't.

Artist Point Restaurant at WL was a total rip-off - It was TWO Table Service credits on the DDP - yet the "house specialty" salmon was so microscopic that I was still hungry - so I actually went back to my own resort and used a Counter Service meal on the DDP!

The WL Resort itself is beautiful however, with some of the best theming at WDW. I especially love the pool, and the boat seems to be very convenient to the MK.

I don't like the fact that I'm not there right now!
