I like to go bagless.
I travel light in the parks - well, as light as a 275lb guy can travel - and don't even stop for those bag check lines at the entrances. I carry no spare lenses, no camera bags (no bags of any kind), no full-size tripod. But I have lots of little stuff, which, after 19 trips since 1990, I have devised various non-bag methods of comfortably and conveniently dragging it all around the parks with me.

Doesn't that get hot? What is the pocket knife for?

We know there are things we need and we don't like pockets full of stuff. We carry a small backpack with many of the "essentials" previously mentioned - to include bagged snacks we make up and water. There are plenty of places to refill the water bottles. I take my "fishing" hat. It's a ball cap with a little larger bill but has a zip on attachment that covers my neck and ears, and it it is great. Many times people in the parks ask where I got it - I'm surprised Disney doesn't sell them!
) or mints or gum (Bring your own, can't buy it at Disney), a small comb, tickets, room key, ID, insurance card, cash, lip balm w/sunscreen, Band Aids, small Neosporin and alcohol wipes (very small, individually wrapped, can buy at Walgreens for $2.00). It sounds like a lot, but it all fits nicely inside the bag. The passes, ID and cash line the side, as does the comb. Not heavy at all. It's best to bring comforts like Purrell and Neosporin. If you experience a hiccup, everything is there at your convenience. Best to be prepared - or so says my Type A personality.
