Guess they want let you the money b/c of my blue eyes :rotfl:

I wonder how all the paperwork will work cause I would like to be prepared if we should decide to buy in the next time we are at WDW.

I think you just have to bring the usual documents to prove who you are, and of course, some funds! :) You can always buy in person when it's not possible any other way.

Hi,

okay i will have my passport with me..and a credit card for the deposit...but are there no more papers needed? to prove that you have enough income for financing? (note we dont live at the US)

Lets say we go to an open house and decide to buy in.

What are the things we have manage while at WDW?
How long will this take?
Would it be better to take the tour at one of the first days of our stay?

Sorry for asking that much, but as I wont get any official information here I would like to be prepared to the things that might happen.

Renate, I sent you a message. As a fellow German now working in the US, and also looking to buy DVC, I may be able to find out some answers for you.....

:)

In case anyone is interested, this was fairly simple. I called my guide, and asked about my 'aunt' in Germany (hey, I DO have an Aunt Renate in Germany - I really do!) He remembered me since during my tour I didn't live or work in the US, and he gave me these answers very quickly.

For anyone who does not live in the US, UK, or Ontario (the only Canadian province where Disney is allowed to solicit) they take a 30% downpayment, and will allow financing over a ten year period. Annual dues must be paid in one lump sum in January, not spread out monthly.

So not too painful, not too much different.
