Tell me what you LOVE  about DL and DCA!!!!

I want to hear about the GOOD and GREAT that you personally think is special about DL!

I love the inside drops of Splash Mountain. They are awesome if you turn your head around and look backwards (stay seated though!:scared1: )

I love it that my kids get excited on Winnie The Pooh!

I love the "Welcome" song at rope drop. Makes me want to cry with happiness because I know I'm in for a GREAT day with my family!

I love the look on dd's face when she sees the princesses "her best friends!"

I love walking though the Pirate shop after riding POTC!

I love the churro's and Mickey head ice cream bars even when it's cold out.

I love Fantasmic! (this one should have been first!!!)

I love the Parade of Dreams and how we all sing along to every word.

At DCA

I love Soarin'.

I love riding Jumpin Jellyfish with my kids.

I love the view from the Sunwheel.

I love the hamburgers at Taste Pilots Grill

I love playing with the kids at the Redwood Creek Challenge. Climbing the ropes is awesome!

I love the smells on Heimlichs chew chew train

I LOVE Screamin'!

I love the ELP!

I love the fact that this was Walt Disney's park and that the light is always on in his honor in the Fire Station.

I love it that I get to spend valuable time there with my husband and two kids.

I love it that we got to take my mom and stepdad there while they were both still healthy enough to go, thank God for that trip!

I love it that we will be going there with dh's family in June.

I love the smells coming out of Blue Ribbon Bakery.

I love Bill Hill and the Hillbillies.

I love staying in the park after closing and just watching the castle and all the happy and tired people as they leave.

I love it that someday I'll take my grandkids there.

I love seeing the Matterhorn from the I-5 and knowing we are there!

I love it that in two months I'll be back "home"!!

lol, you really do love everything.
I love the feeling I get as soon as I cross under the tracks and I can hear the chattering of all the excited people.
I love the corn dogs I just discovered on my last trip.

*SEEING THE FIREWORKS JUST BEFORE A DROP ON BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN

This reminds me, I also love seeing the fireworks from splash mountain. I think that is the best view of the fireworks compared to anywhere else in the park, unfortunately the view doesn't last long.

I love the fact that many of my favorite childhood memories were at DL with my grandmother.

I love the fact that I get to go to DL in less than 2 months.

I love it that I am creating memories at DL & WDW with my children that will carry them throughout their lifetime.

I love the fact that we live in a country that encourages the entrepreneurial spirt and imagination that make DL possible.

I love the fact that the last place I seen my mother before she passed away was WDW. It is the Happiest Place on Earth and whenever I think of her I remember how much fun we had at Disney and how me & my children will never forget our last vacation with Granny.

This reminds me, I also love seeing the fireworks from splash mountain. I think that is the best view of the fireworks compared to anywhere else in the park, unfortunately the view doesn't last long.

:rotfl: Good point to both of these but they are AWESOME!!! :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

Boy, you know what I else I love? I LOVE THIS THREAD!!!

Sort of reminds of the way things used to be around these parts, thanks for posting!!

In actuality, I am a sop, I love it all. Even the weird sewage smell by POTC, because hey, Disenyland sewage is better than other sewage right?

Anyway, thanks AZMickeyfans, I needed a break from real life today on this horrible day in US History and this thread reminds me there is good in the world!

I love the fact that this was Walt Disney's park and that the light is always on in his honor in the Fire Station.

Oh yes I love this too. I always look up there each day as I enter the park and think of Walt!

You only said DL, so I won't mention DCA favorites:

Being first in line at the front gates
Walking down a very empty, freshly washed Main Street USA
Riding Peter Pan first (ALWAYS Peter Pan first!!!)
Visiting Snow White's Wishing Well and echoing with the music
Goat Trick on BTMRR while sitting in the last row
Roaring back at Harold the Yeti
Pirates smell (nuthin else quite like it!)
Dole Whips while watching Aladdin and Jasmine Storytime Adventures
Walking past the huge standby que at Splash Mtn with Fastpasses in hand
Watching Fantasmic from our secret spot
Kirk Wall aka (ELVIS BILLY!)  :rotfl:
Coconut Macaroons from Blue Ribbon Bakery
The Disney Gallery
Just happening upon perfect character interaction (like Alice/Mad Hatter playing games or Mary and Bert singing songs -- pure Disney magic!)

and even though it is currently in DCA, it is a DL original and our famiy's all time favorite:

Disney's Electrical Parade!! :cool1: :dance3: :wizard:

Question: What is goat trick?

I also love walking past long lines with fastpasses in hand. The best though was when we took the holiday tour and we got to cut in front of everyone in line to take the next boat on IASW, the looks on the faces of everyone else in line was priceless. I felt like a princess with VIP privelages.

Where is your secret spot, I know it won't be a secret if you tell everyone so you just tell me.

I have to add, I love the cm's and the way they do their jobs. Last summer on Storybookland Canal Boats my twin nieces were with us. One of them got to sit in the very front with my daughter, sort of on the little elevated section that only holds two small people. The other twin was just heartbroken since there was no room for her, none of us realized she was feeling left out but the cm. Suddenly my sad niece was made honorary Princess and Boat Captain by the cm boat operator and got to "help" her run the show. It just made her day! I was just so touched that this young girl was so in tuned with my little niece to turn the whole thing around. Where else but Disney!

And I stand by my love of the sewage smell by Pirates!:lmao:

title edited for you dangermouse!!! Another blonde moment on my behave! :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

This thread reminds of a show on CNN that was called "Good news", it had stories about the good things that happen in the world...

I love that feeling I get when I walk thru the tunnel (first day of a trip) and take my first steps into Disneyland. I get all teary eyed and can't believe I am there.

I love watching little ones meet their favorite characters in person.

I love those magical moments that happen. Totally unplanned: interactions with other guests that make you smile, interacting with a character that pops out of no where, discovering some little thing in the park that you have never noticed before.

I love the drawing classes in the Animation building.. we went back over and over again.

I love the Electrical Parade.. sitting on the pavement and excitedly waiting for the parade to start, clapping to the music, waving at everyone in the parade.

I love watching Tinkerbell "do her thing".. I point and the tears roll "there she is!"

I love that Disneyland was the first place we went on a family vacation.. we went to celebrate my hubby's kidney transplant. It will always hold a special place in our hearts. The year we went after the kidney failed, was bitter sweet. It gave us hope that one day he will have a new kidney and no longer need dialysis.

I love finding all the other DL fanatics here at DIS who have become my friends. I love ya, all ya crazy hyena people!!!:goodvibes

Question: What is goat trick?

Where is your secret spot, I know it won't be a secret if you tell everyone so you just tell me.

The goat trick is a long-time honored tradition over at Mouseplanet. Basically, when you see the goat on BTMRR, you keep your eyes on it as you go down the hill and around the corner. It gives me huge butterflies in my tummy and makes my head spin.

As far as my special secret spot to watch Fantasmic -- well, I can't give the exact location, but I'll tell you that it's somewhere right in front of the Rivers of America. ;) :thumbsup2 :rolleyes1
