What do you like to eat that others find disgusting?

One of my favorite lunches pretty much leaves my family recoiling in horror whenever they see me eat it. It's a little thing I like to call Tuna Nachos.

Simple, really - just tuna straight out of the can, mixed with mayo, dolloped onto tortilla chips on a plate, cheddar cheese shredded on top, then under the broiler for a couple of minutes. I think it's delcious, but obviously nobody in my house agrees. :rotfl:

So, have you got anything you consider a delicacy that others are horrified at the thought of?

Scrambled eggs with cheese with ketchup on it! Yum yum!! My son grabs his mouth and runs when he sees them! :rotfl:

I suppose if you like tuna from a can, your nachos wouldn't be bad. I don't like eating that kind of "cat food" though. ;)

I don't know if there is anything my family cringes at that I eat. I like weird things, escargot, frog legs, turtle, etc. I order it when we're out and it's available. My family figures that it's normal for me to eat like that.

Now, when I'm not with family, sometimes people cringe when I order a steak done rare. As far as I'm concerned, if they take the steak up to the grill to scare it a little, then it's done... same with tuna steaks.

Is there any other way to eat scrambled eggs??? That's the ONLY way I eat scrambled eggs!! :thumbsup2

My family does not like the way I mix some of my food. I'm a food mixer. I mix mashed potatoes and gravy with green beans. I mix beans, cornbread, and fried potatoes.

My fam thinks it's disgusting that I like all the "stinky" cheeses- blue cheese is my fav, but I love goat cheese, and all others. They think it's horrible.

Liverworst sandwiches. White bread, a little mayo, some liverworst and I'm happy! Only problem is that it's SO high in fat. I haven't had it in years :(

Peanutbutter (only Jiff) and Velveeta sandwich. :thumbsup2

DH hates it when I put parmesan and butter on bread and microwave it. He says it stinks the house up! :crazy2:

Scottish "Black Pudding"! :bitelip:

Spam!!-I love it fried w/mustard!

Dh makes Mac & Cheese and puts tuna in it! Eeewww!

I also eat fried Fatback!

Pickled turnips. If you've ever eaten Lebanese food, you've probably tasted one.

Pickled herring with onions in wine sauce ~ it is so much yummier than it sounds!! I've been eating it since I was very young...my mom and grandma introduced me to it :thumbsup2

Ok- sorry, but I'm getting sick thinking about Jiff and Velveeta sandwhiches... :rotfl:

My mom used to eat peanut butter and garlic salt sandwhiches! :crazy2:

Banana sandwiches

I have one of those "snakmaster" sandwich makers (where it heat the sandwich and makes it into 2 pockets). My family cringes every time they see it come out!

I love tuna sandwiches (tuna and mayo) with processed cheese done in the snakmaster. Or spagetti and cheese sandwiches in the snackmaster - mmm mmm good.

Give me my snakmaster, two slices of bread and any leftovers and I am good to go!

My kids hate my peanut butter and banana sandwiches :confused3

wow i think there are only about 3 things people have listed that i don't like, but i am the worlds least picky eater.
how about these:
fried bologna with peanut butter and lettuce on toast
salad with italian dressing mixed with spag and sauce
hamb pizza with mustard, and pickles (started loving that one when i was preg with ds and still love it to this day)

Okay, I also eat scrambled eggs with cheese and ketchup. It's the only way I'll eat them! My family hates when I make a turkey sandwich and slather it with Busha Brown's Banana Chutney. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm Good!
