What Do You Have Planned for 2009?

March 15-19 SSR
May 28-June 8 Princess Ruby Princess to the Mediterranean
September 3-10 Holland America Ryndam Alaska
October 18-23 AKV
November 22-29 Carnival Glory Eastern Caribbean
Mid-December AKV

I only can get 2 weeks in a year, sooooo.....We have a May 28th 3-Night Wonder Cruise followed by 3 nights at Boardwalk (will be staying at the MCO Hyatt the night before the cruise, can't wait to check that out!) We are going to go somewhere the first week of November 1-6th. Keep going back and forth between Vero Beach (my home!) and HHI. Maybe I'll wait and see how Starr W. trip report goes before I ressie!!:lmao:

We are doing a family trip to SSR in May and then a week in OC, MD in August... I sure wish I could come up with more, but so far that is it.

We are hoping for

- Summer trip to either Maine or Michigan.
- October at OKW or SSR. Never been around Halloween.

Nothing definite yet. Still tossing around ideas.

Right now we are booked at 1 bedroom villa at AKV for 6 days in June. But when we hit the 7 month mark, I am going to try and switch that to a 1 bedroom at the BCV.:beach:

For 2009 we have two trips planned. We booked Feb. 15-22 and are planning to do an early December trip.:thumbsup2

I do love this thread. I am a travel nurse so I can get time off whenever I want, which is a nice perk. So far, I am going to BCV superbowl week 2009. Planning a trip to NYC March/ April, and maybe back to WDW June. After that depends on when the Harry Potter theme park opens at Universal since I am planning my winter trip around that. LOL.

Dh and I will be there this month from the 5-8th. I know it's not '09, but we are SO looking forward to our being alone for the first time in 5 years without kids.

We are expecting baby girl #3 in December and she will likely be going to WDW three times in her first year.

May- Have SSR booked in 1bd for 5 nights. Will try to change to 6n at BCV or VWL at the 7month mark just to try something new.

Will try for Kidani 1bd for 4 nights over Columbus day and MNSSHP with the kids.

In '10 I have a conference in Jan in Orlando. Will likely do a 2bd with my parents again for 6 nights at OKW. We did it this past Jan, and it worked out great. We loved all of the extra room at OKW with the extra people.

Nothing planned for 2009:sad1: DH wants to go some where else this time.:scared1: If he has not booked anything by end of January.... I'm booking a trip to WDW:goodvibes

Boy, you all have a packed schedule. We'll be in your neck of the woods in a few weeks. We're going to spend a few days at Cape May to check out the migrating birds. :goodvibes

Just wanted to say that I hope you have a great time in Cape May! Perhaps you'll see some migrating monarchs as well...but they could be later than the birds!

We're hoping for 4 nights at BCV followed by 4 nights AKL concierge in late September, if we can switch at the 7 month window. If not, we will be spending 8 wonderful nights in a Boardwalk view at our home, BWV.:cloud9:

Trips already planned for 2009

Jan. - Weekend visit to family in Boston.
March - Girlfriends visit to WDW followed by AKV concierge with DH. It's my spring break!
May - All-family 3 part stay. First is BCV, then DCL family cruise, finally AKV Kidani village one day stay to check it out! This one will need some extra planning for me, school is still in session. I was going to do just an extra long weekend, but decided to try get subs and stay a week + instead. It does include Memorial day. We are too close to retirement, and our DGC are just too young to have them spend too much time in Disney without us!:goodvibes
August into September - European cruise and stay. I get to visit Poland, the birthplace of my grandparents.:goodvibes

Still to plan:

Spring weekend in the Smokies
Summertime in Cape May. Here's hoping the family can join me/us there for at least a week or two.
July or September WDW vsit
More trips to Boston and New Orleans to visit family
WDW December visit
December trip to Dollywood. Dollywood has great Christmas celebrations, it's a must do for us every year.
Whatever else I can think of!!!

Sigh, for us too, a VB less year, we used so many points there this year, but maybe we can fit something in on our December WDW trip.

We'll be going Sept 17th - 26th, 2009. It will encompass my son's 5th birthday (20th), my daughters 3rd birthday (technically the 27th..we'll celebrate early) and DW and my 10th wedding anniversary (23rd).

As part of the 10th anniversary, I'm putting together a surprise vow renewal.

Gonna be a BIG trip. :)

January 11-16th with my college kids - the only break they have at the same time.... Can't wait - 2 bedroom at the BWV

April 13 - 16th - Studio at AKV!!!

More to come :cool1:

WOW, if that's not going to be a happy trip, then I don't know what is. Congratulations on 10 years and all the b-days!

Have a GREAT trip!

Right off the heels of 3 end of the year trips in 2008 (one for F&W, one for Halloween, and one for Christmas)...

in 2009 we are staying at the Grand Floridian RPC on points in Jan to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. :cloud9:

Thanks everyone. It's shaping up to be a fun one. What's even MORE amusing is my wife is working to plan a birthday party for the kids while we're there.....and has no clue that I'm doing some planning of my own.

There WILL be a TR....though probably not a "pre-TR". My wife knows I post here, and while I double doubt she'll stumble across the surprise...I'm going to keep as many details as possible "close to the vest" as I can. Just in case.

I will say this: I talked to Disney's wedding planners...and they were just completely unable to do what I really wanted done...even if I offered them a premium price point. They offered other options but...they weren't as appealing as what I could put together on my own...but that's maybe a tale left untold, for now.

Suffice to say: Disney will never know what's going on, as I'll just arrange all the pieces seperately, on my own, but we'll get 90% of what I set out to do (because they DO all of it..just not necessarily as part of a wedding package)...and the other 10% will just be a little more private (it was always going to be pretty intimate....about 10 people, including our 3 kids) than I had originally envisioned. AND it'll be at least a thousand (and maybe a couple thousand) bucks cheaper than the less than optimal options I got from the wedding planners.

Wish me luck. If I manage to pull this off, it's gonna be a DOOZY.

:)

That's exactly what we figured out after talking with the Disney planners. We're doing our own thing for our 20th Anniversary celebration! :cloud9:
I'm sure your wife will be thrilled! Congrats! :goodvibes
