What do you grill?

We moved our gas grill off the back porch and don't use it as much. Out of sight, out of mind. Our charcoal grill is still on the back porch, but since it takes a while to heat up I don;t use it as much. We use to cook year round on them, and a habit that I need to get back to.

  • Steak, chicken, fish, burgers, hot dogs, veggies. Have cookies pizza a few times
  • getting into cast iron cooking with our camping dutch oven for cobblers

I would like one of these...anyone have one? Can do EVERYTHING, from pancakes to hibachi to burgers.

We grill year round so any kind of meat, poultry, fish, veggies, potatoes go on it.

We will grill just about anything...but smoking is another story. It has to be special if I can convince DH to baby the fire for hours on end. We smoked a brisket for the 4th :lovestruc
I can fire up the Weber, toss a shoulder on it and go to bed. No need to tend to the fire if done right :D

I'm mostly steak, burgers, and low and slow with ribs. It's just me or me and my 2 girls, but when I cook, I cook a lot and freeze it so I don't have to cook when I'm ready for bed during the week.

DH has a PK grill that he can smoke on, but he much prefers a traditional smoker with a firebox if he's working with a brisket. A shoulder is usually more compact and could work on a grill that can do double duty, but a big untrimmed brisket is a huge slab of meat. He used to do cook offs, so it's kind of the norm to keep an eye on it since you're out of it if something goes wrong with your heat with you're sleeping.

Has anyone mentioned grilling bananas yet? They're amazing.

We do lots of meats, fish, and veggies. DH has also smoked turkeys, ribs, and roasts. We have a Big Green Egg, and I really need to start using it more often for pizzas and breads.

I couldn't live without a grill basket, I do almost everything in it. Years ago I started calling what would be kabobs "lazybobs" because I just toss it in a grill basket. My kids thought it was ago real thing and would tell people their favorite food was lazybobs. Lol!

I can't wait to try grilling bananas!

Went to our butcher a couple weeks ago and there were two Prime flat iron steaks in with the usual Choice cuts. Grilled hot and fast with my marinade they were some of the best steak I've ever had. My marinade utilizes olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce (LaChoy, no fancy stuff) garlic powder, oregano and pepper.
