Hi
There always seems to be a big fuss to get these roooms. What makes them so different? New to DVC and curious

Concierge or club level allows you access to a concierge lounge (free snacks & beverages throughout the day), individualized itinerary planning through the concierge staff - this is true at all Disney resorts at concierge level. At AKL, you can also book a safari that is available only to concierge level guests.

Lastly, I believe some of the views are different at AK concierge, but I've read varying things about this and am less sure about the "benefit" there.

I was wondering about concierge as well. I'd love to hear stories if anyone has stayed in a concierge level room lately. Wondering if it is worth the extra points.:confused3

We stayed in concierge studio this month for 5 nights. The snacks are nice but we really weren't there other than breakfast to take advantage of them, we were in the parks. We got back between park and ADRs for dinner one or two nights and saw what had been there for the dinner hour. I'd never give up my dinners at Jiko's, California Grill, Le Cellier, etc. to eat in the concierge lounge.

The safaris are a great benefit. I also liked having mousekeeping daily WITH replenished soap, shampoo, etc. every day (have a bundle that I brought home with me to use during the year, keeping Disney in my bathroom daily. ) Turndown service with chocolates on your pillow, not having to pick up your own park purchases delivered to the gift shop (they end up in your room by magic), etc. are all nice extras.

The views are NOT as good as booking savanna view rooms. If savanna view to see animals is most important to you, I'd book savanna view and request to be on the Arusha savanna.
