What do you eat that makes others

gag or shake their head?
DH can never figure out how I can HATE tomatoes, but LOVE ketchup.
Easy -- ketchup has vinegar and spices and covers up that nasty acidic taste.
I don't like onions either, but can tolerate them if they aren't overpowering.

What are you finicky about that others think you are strange over?

I once worked with a woman who sprinkled sugar over her salad.

I'm a vegetarian, so people always give me weird looks when I'm eating.. particularly tofu.

Soggy bread, Really dont' care for the texture. Which makes me not like sandwitches that are not freshly made.

and bread that has been mashed up into cubes My husband likes to take the insides of dinner roll's insides and mash the bread into cubes and then eat em. Blech!

My DH has mashed potatoes down to a science!
First you have to pile the potatoes on your plate.
Then, carefully scoop out a hole.
Third, dump a ton of butter in the hole.
Next, place more mashed potatoes on top of the butter.
And finally CAREFULLY SEAL the potatoes together to fully enclose the butter. That way the butter melts.
But watch out for any leaks that may occur!

DH also likes sandwiches made of crunchy peanut butter, tomatoes and bacon, on whole wheat toast.

Luv2roam...my sister and mom are the same way about tomatos and ketchup. They think I am weird cause I love tomatos....like ketchup a lot too.

There isn't too much that I eat that would make others gag since I am a real picky eater. The only thing I can think of that people have told me is strange is when the cafeteria at the college serves white rice, I mix honey-mustard sauce in it to give it flavor.

Red meat makes me literally gag. Especially when it has blood pouring out of it. Gross.

The only thing I eat that other people might not get, is crabs. Especially those not from this area, where crabs are our specialty.

Just yesterday I ordered Eggplant Parmigiana in a restaurant, and everyone else at the table was gagging (and we're not talking children here!).

Jill, no you are not the only one who loves Eggplant Parm....only thing is, the skin has to be off the eggplant. Most Italian resturants do it this way, but every once in a while, you find a place that doesn't. Yuck, so I have learned to ask anytime I order it.
