What do you drive and why did you choose it?

2007 jeep grand cherokee limited - reliable, comfortable, rides like a cadillac

I drive a Chevy Impala. We rented one out on one of our Vegas trips and loved it so much we came home and bought one that following year. :)

2006 Ford Escape Hybrid

I was tired of driving a mini-van, got a decent deal with Ford Employee pricing, I thought it was too cute for words, and I loved the gas mileage (33 mpg).

a chevy venture

we had one as a rental car when our astro was in the shop

I liked the feel, the look, the way it drove & was easy to park, fits a lot of people & stuff. It has really been a great purchase & it saves money in gas. :thumbsup2

dh drives a dodge stratus because its a nice looking car, was a great deal-- we paid cash for it used-- and it was roomy

1995 Pontiac Grand Am. Bright, bright red.

I love my car. I bought it new, my first new car. So far, so good. I've had minor electrical problems, and now the front windows don't work at all. And he A/C heater is broken.

Mechanically, it is good.

My niece said that in a few short years, I'll be driving a classic car! :rotfl:

2000 Plymouth Neon - Deep Cranberry Pearl Coat - the first car I bought before I was married, it's in my name only so DH can't get rid of it. I bought it cause my dad's company was owned by Diamler-Chrysler back then and employee discount was incredible and I was eligible for it. Love it cause it's 4dr. but still "sporty" enough for me. 130,000+ miles and no major problems (knocking on wood).

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee - gunmetal blue color - another car bought with Chrysler employee discount. Love it cause it's big enough to toss a kids bike and a bike cart in the back, strap another on a bike rack and toss two kayaks on top and still have room for our weekend at the cottage essentials. Also love the ground clearance to be able to get through some of the unimproved roads to my cottage and bike "trails". It's a gas guzzler, but it's the closest I'll ever get to a truck which is what I really want but DH considers too "redneck" for his liking.

2006 Honda Civic - boring brownish color, 4 door. We bought it because DBIL had a garage where he worked specifically on Honda's and we were assured a lifetime of free maintance. Nice - but he moved so not so much anymore. Really I don't love it (other than the sunroof) but it's supposed to be reliable and last "forever" with regular maintenance. We'll see. Not impressed with the gas mileage though. My Neon is still pulling 26-28 and the "fuel efficient" Honda is barely pulling 30.

DH has a 2003 prius- we got it because just felt like the right thing to do. I love the car. My car is a 2001 Suzuki XL7- I chose it because it had better safety ratings than the rav4 and cr-v at the time. We need one car with cargo and 4x4 and it fit the bill nicely. We'll be looking for a new one for me soon, probably will be getting a Honda Element.

2004 Chrysler Pacifica - We bought it when DH's 98 Explorer died and the cost to fix it was not worth it. We bought it pretty spontanous but we really LOVE it. It rides like a dream, it's a living room on wheels. It fits our little family of three very comfortable but we can still have guests in the car. The stroller, groceries and clubs fit well in the back. It gets decent gas milage but not as good as I would like. It's fully loaded and I LOVE the heated seats, even down here. It works wonders on a sore back.

2003 Ford Taurus - DH's commuting car. Good mileage. We bought it three years ago when my college car died and wasn't worth fixing. We bought it because my dad has had Sables and Taurus' for years and knew we liked them. It's reliable, has a great stereo system and has great pick up. It's awesome for highway driving.

Family car - 2003 GMC Raised Roof Conversion van. You just can't beat "Big Mama" for comfort on a road trip, for hauling half of Sarah's high school softball team in, or for carrying the Grand-babies in. You would think teens would think it is the ultimate ugly car but they all seem to love it. Fuel mileage isn't a subject you want to put in the same sentence.

My "Baby" a 2007 Toyota Solara Convertible. Black with a tan top.
I always wanted a convertible and I just love it. It makes me happy just to drive it.

Penny

It's a 2002 Ford Focus. I inherited it from DMIL with less than 30k miles. I work from home so I don't drive it much. :)

Winter car: 2001 Isuzu Rodeo 4WD. I live in the NE and have to have a car that performs well in snow.

Summer car: 1987 Corvette Convertible. White on white with a tourquise blue interior. I love this car!!!

DH has a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica that he loves. He's 6'4" and says its one of the few cars that he's really comfortable in.

DD (19) has a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse (red) and DD (16) has a 2000 Chevy Cavalier (also red).

2002 Chevy Venture Mini Van.. I have 4 kids.

2007 Nissan Versa. I originally test-drove it solely because it was ranked highly in Consumer Reports. It has 4 doors, good safety features standard, good gas mileage, fold-down seats and drives nicely.

My car is a 2007 GMC Acadia. I saw it and fell in love with it. It was about time to get a new vehicle and we wanted something similar to our minivan, but NOT another van. We loved the room and set up inside minivans, but I was tired of driving them. Our Acadia has the captain's chairs in the middle row and the 3rd row is comfortable, even for adults. Everything folds down flat w/ the pull of a handle, so it is great for hauling stuff. We are military and move about every 2-3 years and have to have room to haul all our essentials, 2 boys and our cat. I LOVE my Acadia!

DH has a 1990 Chevy 4X4 King cab K1600 that he only uses to drive to work 1 mile away.

I drive a black 07 Chevy HHR. I got it because I thought it was cheap and I get a discount cause I work for GM but man... I just was rummaging through my stuff and saw the sticker price... I got a deal! I love my Snickers (thats her name) Shes been good to me!

2005 Kia Sedona

1. Needed a minivan.
2. Didn't want to spend $30K+.
3. DH liked to buy new and have a warranty. (View is changing now that he's listening to Dave Ramsey).:goodvibes
4. Had good luck with Hyundai (sister company).

HATE IT!!!! Nothing but problems.

Patiently waiting to trade in.:rolleyes1

2003 Corolla. I street park, so anything bigger would be a pain. It gets good mileage and has been very reliable.
