What do you do?

I own my own dance studio. I'm a dance instructor - tap, jazz, ballet & hip hop.

I am a first assistant manger for a rue 21 outlet. "Do you rue? I do."

Executive Assistant for now...

Slowly but surely working my way to being a Counseling Psychologist...

For 6 years, I was an engineer in the aerospace industry.

For the last 4 years, I've been a SAHM and Family Manager. I am the primary care giver for our two great kids (read, I change 99% of the poopy diapers). I also handle all of our (DH's & mine) finances, clean the house, organize vacations...

Basically, I do everything except major household maintenance, car maintenance, and lawn care. Maybe I'll have the time and energy to take over those responsibilities when the kids are in grade school.

I wouldn't mind becoming a CPA or CFP for my next career since my fingers aren't slender enough for hand modeling.

My most important jobs are wife and mother.

To make money, I currently am a Support Analyst for a software company.
How I got here I'll never know, never had training in this, my degrees are in Psychology and Sociology. I worked in the mental health field for several years working with indigent mentally ill clients. I then somehow got a job in an accounting department (which I also never had training in!) of a construction company, and from there went on to be a corporate officer at another construction company. Didn't really like what I was doing, so put my resume online and ended up in the software field :confused3 .

Currently a Project Manager and Engineer/Drafter for construction projects.... very different from 15 years in sales. I wear jeans now.

I am a middle school teacher. I have run a day care center and have taught all the grades from from K-8. I have worked as a dean of students. After 35 years I am hoping to retire and travel.

I work for a juvenile program for teenage delinquents. Check curfews, check school progess, keep track of their community service, and most fun, make them pee in little bottles for drug testing.

I am a full-time undergrad student at UCLA. I also work part-time as an administrative assistant for my mother's law practice. (I will be working there full-time this summer.) Starting in January I will also hopefully be working part-time at the Disneyland Resort.

I'm a substitute teacher, Tupperware consultant, real estate salesman and a sign language interpreter for my church and hoping to pass the QAST and go into community interpreting as well.

I own a personal assistant biz and a children's party planning biz. FUN! and dh owns a painting biz.

I love reading these -thanks to whomever started the thread.

I am currently a SAHM.

Previously, I did copywriting, PR and research for a full-service ad agency (for 9 years).

In the fall, I will begin teaching a 3yo class at my children's preschool 3 days per week.

WOW! This is fascinating! As a teacher, it is great to see so many people taking advantage of getting a great education and all the things many of you do to give back.

I am a substitute teacher, have been for 22 years!! Junior High is my favorite age group. This year, I was a long term Math teacher (a semester) in 7th grade and absolutely loved it!!! :teeth:

I am the office manager/accountant at a small optics manufacturing comany. I only took this job until I could find something in my educational field (I am a lawyer), but the job never materialized, and I am still here, 9 years and 2 kids later.

Denae

Left corporate America in December 2003 after 18 years, and now I am really loving my career as a real estate agent.

BTW, if anyone is relocating to the Charlotte NC area, or knows anyone who is, please feel free to PM me! (Had to get in a little business plug :teeth: )

:cool1:

I didn't use my MBA very well. I'm a professional sports official (boxing) since 1979.

student at arizona state right now....but i'm hoping to either go into hotel management or become a religious studies professor
