What do you do relieve your stress?

A little mental WDW trip is good. Movies, music, and a nap never hurt anything either.
 
It depends on the type of stress. Sometimes I play a computer game, sometimes I sing, and sometimes I pray. Its when I combine praying with singing that you know I'm really stressed out.
 
Take a walk in my neighborhood
Get a special, fattening coffee at Starbucks
Call a friend who makes me feel special
Take a hot shower
Watch a meaningless reality TV show or cry through a sappy love story
Lose myself in a good book
Plan my next vacation, hopefully to WDW
Hug my DH and DD and remind myself that this is what is important

Exercise does not relieve my stress. Most of my stress is relieved by being very uptight and 'jumping down' DH's throat at the littlest thing....I know I need to change this, but it does keep him in line;)

The best way I relieve stress is to turn it over to God. If I know He is working on it then it really relieves my burden.
 

Sorry to hear about your stress at work but believe me.....I know what you're going through!! One year, my eye started twitching so bad I know the principal thought I was winking at him whenever I was at his meetings!!!:o :jester:


I DIS a lot or get lost in planning trips FAR away!!! Also Beethoven's 9th relaxes me or watching a real funny movie!:)

You all are so sweet :) {{hugs}} back to you all :) Work started getting better even today and by this afternoon I felt much more under control. My eye twitches have even faded a little so hopefully I can wear contacts again soon!

I admit I do love the idea of planning trips! Hopefully as I plan I can actually get my DH to agree to go with me ;)

I forgot about listening to music too!!! That really will help I know!!!

What do I do to relieve stress?

Elaine .... Physical exercise...of any sort is the best possilbe way to help "reset" our mindset....:)......personally....I'll hop on the life cycle...or the Treadmill many times to help get over the daily grind....if's it's something that really instills my passions....I'll hit the weights with a newfound vigor...and go for a new personal best on a lift!...there's no (legal) replacement...in my mind...if you want to 'burn off anger' than to put yourself under a heavy weight and hoist it...repeatedly!....it works wonders! :)
