I can think of:
Mini-golf - 1/2 a day
DTD - shops and Disney Quest - 1/2 to full day
Water Park (maybe - depends on crowds) - 1/2 to full day
rent a surrey bike - but would not take up more than an hour of our day

What else do you do ?

If you are not a guest of the WL - can you still take a tour ? How to go about it ?

or If you are not a guest of the AKL - can you still take a tour ? Do they have them ?

Any other idea's ?

thanks :teeth:

You can always take a tour, you don't need to be a resort guest.

Here are some of our favs

Water Parks
DTD
Water Mice
Resort self-tours (just wandering)
Head over to crossroads for some Marble Slab YUMMY!!
Boardwalk

Enjoy!!

There are a lot of good malls in the area, full price and discount. The only thing is, with a 17 year old daughter, that costs more than going to the parks.

We have gone to check out Celebration, or just spend the day at the pool, then gone to a movie.

Depending on how old the kids are, drop them at disneyquest, and then go out for adult fun.

I have always wanted to go to Cape Kennedy, but no one else does, so I get outvoted.

We usually go and visit any of the resorts that we want, take pics, etc.

Last year, we drove over to Celebration to check out a Jaguar car show.

One day, we played all of the mini-golf courses.

Non-park day!!!!!!????

What is this non-park day that you speak of..???? :rotfl:

My dad and I went to Kennedy Space Center and my mom and sister went to Seaworld. :)

shopping at premium outlets
(hate that although it's great there to sit by the fountains there)

Yep, the outlets!! That's where we plan on heading to on our non-park day. There's some really nice ones in the area. "Burberry Outlet" is just a sweet symphony to my ears...

That's exactly what I was going to say. We do 4 days WDW and 2 days US/IOA. We rest when we get back to work/school.

We are Commandos!!

on a nonpark day we do a tour or grab lunch at another resort, relax at our pool & resort, go to the waterparks*ticket, go shopping at dtd, spa treatments at the gf, recreational activities like parasailing at the contemporary, fishing at ft. wilderness, golfing at the magnolias or nighttime fun at the boardwalk & pleasure island*ticket.

Our upcoming trip has tons of non park days! I hate getting home and feeling like we need a vacation from vacatoin, so for this trip, we are doing day in park, relax day, day in park, relax day..... etc.. so, here are some ideas we plan on doing on our non park days... (did some of these last tiem and loved it)
*Downtown Disney
*Outlet mall shopping
*Movie at DTD
*Tours of Dis Resorts
*Mini Golf
*Disney Quest
*Stroll the boardwalk
*Princess Tea/Pirate Cruise princess: pirate:
*many of our planned meals are on non park days so that we dont waste good park time ! And so that we dont feel we need to rush a good meal, to get back to the park!
*Drive to the beach :moped:
*Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon
*Hang out by pool, sleep in (isnt that what vacation is about?) ::yes::
*ck out the Titanic exhibit! (awesome)
*Dinner Show
* of course, there are the "other" theme parks down the road.... :charac4:
*Pleasure Island :drinking1
*Drop kids off at one of the kid centers, and have some adult time! :love2:
*Boating, water mice, parasailing, even fishing!!! :boat:

That is all I can think of for now! Have fun!

Ditto - On our Non-Park days - we go to a Park. :rotfl2: I never got the point of a non-Park day :confused3 - I have plenty of those at home...... :earboy2:

For the rest of Walt Disney World. There is so much to do besides the parks!! Now, I would never go and NOT visit the parks, but I love non-park days!! Def relaxing and allows you to see the rest of the world. :flower:

Sleep in! Do the mini-golf. Rent water mice or a pontoon boat. Check out Celebration. Do DTD. Check out the other resorts. Shop!

Hopefully, after getting in at 3:00 am from a EMH :goodvibes , we'll sleep in. Then, let the kids swim in the pool; next, shop at DTD; then get a drink at Olde Port Royale, hop into a hammock on the beach at CBR or on the island at CBR, and sleep some more.

Swim at resort, go to Typhoon Lagoon, play mini-golf, ride the monorail, shop at DTD, explore FW...Come to think of it, it rather begs the question, THIS is a REST day?!! LOL! :rotfl:

I've always thought it would be nice to spend a day relaxing with a book and a drink (not necessarily in that order) by the pool, but it has just never happened.
