Just curious because at $2-3 per clip for 7 people for 7 days this will add up! We won't have rental car to go to store. We don't really need any other groceries. Anyone have a creative solution for drinking water without spending $100+ ?

Thank you

Garden grocer. You can also get free ice water from any QS location. We found that out last summer.

You could do a combo of both. We ended up bringing 2 water bottles per person (as much as we could carry) that we had delivered from garden grocer and then filling those up in drinking fountains or asking for water from QS to fill in the gaps.

ETA: Even if you're on the dining plan, you could always order cereal bars or granola bars, etc for breakfast from garden grocer (to help get to the minimum) and save those snack credits for actual snacks.

my answer to that question was the camelbak groove. it makes fountain water taste fresh as bottled, we never run out of water because faucets are everywhere so carrying around heavy bottled water is not needed, and even if the bottle is $17 that's nothing compared to what you'd spend on just 5 bottles of water in the parks.

On my last trip to Disneyland, I bought a bottle of water and then refilled it at a drinking fountain or sink. While it is true that you can't get the bottle completely full and the water may not taste quite the same as the original water in the bottle (Anaheim is not known for its good tasting tap water), the water from the fountain is potable and you can't beat the price.

Ride the WDW bus to Pleasure Island(DTD) and walk across the street to the Hess gas station. You can get 24 bottles of water for $6. That's what I always do.

Isn't there a gas station near the Polynesian that sells bottled water? We Are staying at poly

I will second garden grocer. You can place an order with them before you leave for WDW and have it delivered to your hotel on your first day. The cast member will bring it right to your room. You can also add snacks, breakfast items, etc. to your order. We did this for the first time on our last trip (after reading about it forever on here) and it was a great idea! Saved so much time and money! As for keeping the water cold, we had a fridge in the room in the BC but not all hotels do. You could add a cheap styrofoam cooler to your order and then just keep it filled with ice and throw it out on your last day.

All of the Hess stations carry bottled water by the case. Google the closest one and take a taxi there and back. Or you could take a disney bus if the DTD Hess is your closest.

You can buy a gallon jug of Zephyrhills spring water in the resort gift shops for $2.95. At least I know the gift shops of DVC properties have this. We buy a few gallons and use that.

1. Gardengrocer.com you can order water, snacks and most anything else you want beer/wine too) and it will be delivered to your room. We’ve used the service twice in the past year and it was great. We will use it again in April. We turn our non-CL room into a CL room with drinks and snacks of our choosing.

2. Britta bottle (or other filter bottle) These bottles can be filled with ice and water anywhere on property for free and the filter takes away the lovely Orlando taste. We have once for each member of the family. I used an aluminum carbineer or climbing hook so we can hook them to our belt or on the stroller. They are worth every penny. I use them when I travel and fill them in the airport (after security) to take onto the plane and in the room for brushing teeth etc… We use them around town when we are home too. This is the most enviromentally friendly way to go. These are availble at your local big box retailer.

Do the parks let you in with water bottles/snacks??

They allow food and non-alcoholic beverages (no glass except baby food) in and you can get free ice and water at any location in the parks or resorts. Al of the rooms on property (including the values) now have a "beverage cooler" which is a dorm sized fridge, without the freezer, so things stay cold without the styro ice chest.

Thank you MikeRx. I got the Britta bottle idea here a couple months ago so Santa brought them all for Christmas, but mine can't go in my camera bag so I wasn't sure how I was going to carry it. Love the clip idea. I leave in 8 days so I will go get one.

There is one on the other side of MK parking lot. You could get a taxi, but couldn't walk it.

All WDW resorts have mini fridges in the rooms.
