We haven't done a fun "getting to know you" type of activity in a while so I thought that I would start one.

What do YOU collect?

We collect a lot of things, but have been focussing mostly on pins in the last few years. I sometimes wish that we had a particular character or theme that we collect, but we pretty much want all of them.

We also collect Animation Art, snowglobes, watches, nutcrackers...and dust!

How about you...care to share?

aside from collecting many many happy Disneyland memories ... I collect primarily monorail-related stuff.

mostly toys, pins and postcards.:)

some Mickey things, too.

dust! :rotfl: you and I both!

Really though... I agree that I pretty much collect everything, eek! But I am really getting into pins, I adore the whole process and I adore arranging then in neat little rows and doting over the ones I have. hehe

I would collect art if I could afford it! lol. I have one Glicee (sp?) and some classic pooh posters of paintings that I love. I love to collect Mickey and Walt stuff, though. Posters, pins, whatever... I'm a big fan of Walt

But really? I have so much random stuff. OMG. I hunted for years to find at the right time the Mickey phone from AT&T from 1976... I wanted the rotary, but oh well, can't have it all ;) Tons of Mickey plushes, pins, posters, and another thing I began collecting is old publications from WDW. Annual reports, old castmember manuals... weird stuff. lol! :rolleyes1 But I love it.

I'll pretty much collect anything... but my main thing is the pins!

We collect pins, Lithographs, figurines, snow globes thanks to great Xmas gifts, and recently added some Big Figs to our collection.

I try to focus on Mickey for Character and HM and POC for rides. DW is a Maleficent and Figment collector with a tendancy towards Star Wars and HM.

Dust I am allergic too, but it does seem to be everywhere with our colection. I think Disney includes it with the item when you buy it.

I collect Disney DVDs (especially classic animation), Animation Art (3 cells and counting), Coffee-table style books, original movie posters (including an first-release 1967 Jungle Book 1-sheeter), and WDCC sculptures. I also have a sampling of Lenox sculptures (most notable being the 3 limited edition Fantasia 2000 Mickeys), and an ever-growing collection of Disney-related Hallmark Christmas Tree Ornaments. I guess I'm a sucker for just about anything!

Currently just pins...hopefully it doesn't get out of hand. Last year was my first time to Disney though, hopefully I can refrain from getting caught up in any other collectibles!

I have a few pins and statues along with some older stuff but in the last few months I have been down sizing and getting back into focus on what I want. I really like trains and have started to look at those. I would love to do an outside disney train in my garden.

Antenna toppers are a great deal of fun (and my car doesn't even have an antenna). Now all I have to do is figure out how to display them. I'm thinking lollipop sticks.
They do take up a bit more room then pins but then again there aren't quite so many of them. (at least not yet). I can thank Cyn (Figment2 for this additction)

I collect salt and pepper shakers. They take up more room than pin but I love how they look in the currio cabinet.

I love all things Disney, and I can't pass up a good deal if I find one on Disney Shopping or at the Disney Store. My collection includes Disney DVDs; collector plates; pins; lithographs; snowglobes; plush; DVD release posters; PVC figures; and whatever else I like that I find on sale. :)

I like to collect pins that feature Mickey or Stitch. My plates feature the WDW Resort. I almost have all of the Bradford Exchange 25th Anniversary plates. One wall of my bathroom features plates from the 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, and 30th anniversaries of WDW. The 35th Anniversary was in 2006, but I don't know if they issued a plate to commemorate that, or not.

Currently just pins...hopefully it doesn't get out of hand.
:rotfl2:

Anything to do with Fantasia, Figment, Maleficent, Sword in the Stone, and penguins.

Pins have been a big part since 1999 when they came out with the Photomosaic SpaceShip Earth with Fantasia. That was the start of that slippery slope to the poor house.

But I have a Fantasia sericel of Ben Gator and H. Hippo, one of Maleficent the dragon as the sword penetrates her, an autographed sericel of Mary and Burt with the Penguin waiters, Penguin waiter Big Fig, a villians snowglobe, the snowglobe from "Feed the Birds", Figment Harmony Kingdom box, WDCC figs of Figment, Maleficent (both human and dragon) Chernabog stained glass lamp, etc. etc. etc.

I collect Tinker Bell/Peter Pan and their gang items, with some Pinocchio & Jiminy Cricket and their gang thrown in, Add Alice in Wonderland (just Alice thank goodness), and Merlin and Wart, plenty of dust and the picture is complete.

Oh wait......I forgot about the books, the DVD's, the CD's, Cels, Artwork.........I'm sure there is more. We had to put on a new room for it all. :rotfl:

I collect Disney snowglobles. I have about 12 of them and my all time favorite is the Peter Pan one of the ship.

Fun to see what everyone collects. Even jarred my memory, totally forgot I collect antenna toppers. I'll have to post a pic since I've found a unique way to show them off. Takes up very little space.

I collect mostly Dumbo things. If it's Dumbo I want it! But I have been known to sneak some other things into my collection. We have a few cels of the other characters but this was before I narrowed into what I wanted. I found I just collect it all, so had to be picky. Now I wait with baited breath for something to come out!

I have quite a few pins, but they mostly have to mean something to me. I loved the ones of the original rides. Things from my childhood always speak to me! I also pick up an ornament for each new year to put on the tree. Hmm, what else? Well tacky snowglobes, they have to be plastic, don't collect the really nice ones. My friends are always on the hunt to find me the most tacky, it's turned into a good competition! So far it's the aligator with the snowglobe in his tummy!

Oh I forgot to mention I have a hugh collection of...... Disney Credit Card Slips. I have them by size.
