What do you collect?

DVD movies. I just started buying them a few years ago because sometimes I would forget to return the rental. Also this gives me a chance to watch something over again. I know I have over 150 right now, some of which I haven't even watched yet.

I also collect state quarters. My goal is to have a roll of quarters for each state. Someday, maybe like 100 years from now, it'll be worth something. I also collect every bi-centennial quarter I get. They only made these one time so I gotta hold onto it.

I collect Disney Figurines. The ones you can get at the Emporium. I have at least one for every animated movie up to Mulan. I also collect Disney cookie jars.

Beach towels. I live in area where you only use them 3 months a year too.

Well of course I collect Disney stuff...I guess you could say I have mini collections within it, like pins and small stuffed animals.

Also have a book for all the state quarters, and a bunch of bear beanie babies.

DVD's - got about 2000
Music CD's - got about 2000
Star Wars stuff - decorates the "office". My recent addition was the USPS stamps.
Disney - decorates much of the rest of the house, epecially during the holidays. We have most of the Grolier Disney ornaments.

OMG!! that is an amazing collection!!! DH has his displayed on shelves in the playroom next to the version of the item that is out now. Our kids then point to what they want to play with and we get it down, but it's amazing to see the difference in the items!!

ETA: I saw the FIsher Price king in your people pile! DH is after the royal family, but they are still fetching a pretty penny on EBAY, so we are on the prowl at our other stops!

I collect Disney pins. I know that they are "trading" pins, but I don't want to get rid of any. I don't have very many pins yet, but I always looking on Ebay for pins that I didn't know existed. I used to collect beanies, but they take up a lot of room and I lost interest. I like collecting the pins because they take up less room and remind me of my favorite place!! :goodvibes

Hmm.. All I really collect now are muffin recipes; unusual cake recipes; post cards from places I visit; and books and movies about 9/11 or "The" Kennedy's..

WOW! I am not the only one to put them all on shelves!! :rotfl2: My parents and sibllings thinks I am a bit nuts, but the kids LOVE it that way!

I had a hard time getting the royal family, too!! I wanted them in wood and plastic. They are EXPENSIVE on Ebay and also at the Toyfest sale, where I finally bit the bullet and bought some! But even better, last month I found a complete 1974 Castle at a rummage sale, with an extra king and queen hidden inside!! (Always pays off to check the nooks and crannies of those Play Family sets, you never know what could be stuck in there!!) :teeth:

So now I have all of them, in wood and plastic! I also own FOUR Castles!! I need more!! :teeth:

Here is my Royal Family!

Good luck finding them - I finally had to pay those high prices to complete mine! :teeth:

That is tooooo cool!!! :yay: :yay: Congrats to you!!

We went to a church rummage sale last week and found the 1970s FP LP airplane for .25!!! it was almost MINT! we Mr. Clean magic Erasered it and it was good to go! :lmao: but now we have 5 airplanes! haahah!!

I used to collect FP toys, too, but my tastes have changed and I have branched out into more junk lol.

I collect ebay memorabilia. I even have my Powerseller bag and red pin when I reached 1000 feedback which they don't give out anymore.

I also collect bookmarks and seashells from places I visit. I have a Disney book collection I had since I was a child, an Asian and Hawaiiana collection, and I love Hawaiian cookbooks. I love Hello Kitty, too, her twin sister, and anything Sanrio, such as Little Twin Stars.

I also have an older technology collection, such as older calculators, Atari games and console, manual typewriters, and rotary phones.

Besides dust bunnys lately I collect scrapbooking papers and stickers. They are to pretty to use. :rotfl: I got to get back to SBing:rolleyes1 I seem to have more fun buying the supplies than using them.

polar bears - figurines, photos, drawings, stuffed ones of all sizes. One of the rooms of our house is dedicated to them - I have icicles hanging down and it is all done in shades of white and icy blue. :goodvibes

Dreidels. The hardest thing is i only allow myself to buy one each year, otherwise I'd go crazy (although if I see an unusual one, I'll buy it anyway). I have children's dreidels, silver ones, hand made ones, ones with semi-precious stones, ones from Israel and from here. The israeli dreidels have different letters than the ones made outside of Israel. :goodvibes

Anything with Poodles! Figurines, plush, whatever. If it has a poodle it makes me squishy.
Also: vintage lingerie and vintage bed linens. I'm about to put lots of that on eBay though, my stuff takes up too much room :sad1:

My biggest collection is My Little Pony... the first generation (80s etc.), but I haven't added to that for a few years. Just can't find them at flea markets anymore, at least not at sane prices, and I especially never see any I don't have.

I'd have to say I collect everything,

disney, swarovski , rocks, star wars, snowglobes, dolls, stuffed animals, toys, charming tails, sandicast animals, dried insects, paper weights, raku animals from the AK,hope's feathers, ink pens, lucky cats, etc

I love looking at the Fisher Price stuff! Memories! My kids had three different versions... my old ones, DD's new, then seven years later much of it had changed so DS had his and our old stuff.

I SOOO wanted to be the queen! I forgot all about the royal family!

*forgot to add I also collect Disney pins and much to my DH's chagrin, Coach handbags*
