I've been trying to figure out the best way to carry passes this August. We have park hoppers for Disney as well as room keys for Universal which we will need to have handy for front of the line privilages. Looking for ideas on how to carry passes and such safely so they wont get lost or wet on water rides.

For my Disney stuff I use my AP holder that came when I got the pass, it's a little portfolio thing. And I usually keep it my my backpack pocket. I think when I was at Universal I kept my room key in my wallet, and when I knew I wanted to use the front of the line access, I took it out beforehand. my fiance keeps his stuff in his wallet.

DH and I each bought a pass holder thingy to hang around the neck at Universal in February. He carried his and DS's room keys, and I carried DD's and mine in them. They also had places for the FastPass equivalent thing at Universal. I also kept those smashed pennies in them as well.

Last couple of years i used a waist pack from the Gap. it was great, just the right size. And it was waterproof. I also just took the little plastic case that you can put around your neck with rope to the water parks. Its about the size of a pack of cig. That worked out great.

I bought a water proof hard plastic case that hangs around your neck in WDW at BB a couple of years ago. I have also seen them at WalMart, but don't know how water proof they are. I have used it at the beach also and it works great.

JC Penney has these cool little Samsonite, around the neck thingys that you can wear under or over your clothes, with an adjustable neck string so that you can wear it long and tuck the wallet part in the waistband (under your shirt) or short. It's plastic and waterproof....perfectly flat with three slots for assorted room keys, credit cards, etc. one side of the wallet has a soft lining so it wont stick to your skin in muggy weather. They're off white so it doesnt' show through clothes, and its soft...no rouch itchy edges.

I paid 8 bucks for it, and this was after trying out tons of different kinds of neck wallets. I love it.

In the most recent Disney catalog, there's a really cute one-shouldered backpack with the Disney logo on it. It looks convienent and comfortable (a must when going to Disney, obviously) but also stylish. Can't wait to order mine! I plan on taking it with me on all my future visits to the World (in addition to all the times I'll lug it around at home, of course! lol)

I took a suggestion from someone on this board and bought an ID holder from Walmart. It's a plastic pouch on a lanyard that has a zipper to keep everything from getting wet. It's about 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. The best part was it only cost .97. Hope this helps!

Another thumbs up for the plastic card holding lanyard. I bought one for each member of the family and they had fun decorating the plastic holder with Disney stickers. Plus the lanyard was ideal for showing off all those pins we purchased.

I'm thinking of buying a lanyard ID holder for my next trip. How secure are they? The passes likely to fall out? I'm thinking this might be a little better than putting them in my wallet ... its a bit of a hassle to keep taking out of my purse, especially when you need a FP :)

Where in Walmart did you find these? I looked all over WDW and couldn't find anything like this there (it drove me nuts the entire trip)...but if I can find them now, I'd like to still get them to start preparing for the next trip!

I found them where the sell the wallets, the are called ID holders. they are stapled to a piece of cardboard backing. Someone also said that you can go in the sporting goods section and get something similar. It is really used for fishing liscenses. Hope this helps!

I put mine in the front small compartment of my Disney Fanny pack. It's always worked perfectly. Easy access.

I hold all the passes right now since my children are young. I even hold my DH unless he needs it to run and get Fastpasses or to run back to the resort for something...

We have a camera case we bought at WDW a few years ago that we carry everything except foul weather gear. It's 6"X6"X3.5" so it's easy to carry. We have the digital camera, extra memory cards, extra batteries, small pkg. of kleenex, lip balm, allergy meds, park passes, credit card, IDs, money/travelers checks. We take turns carrying the bag and have no problems entering or exiting rides/attractions. On days rain is possible we have Mickey rain jackets that fold into small cases that we clip to the strap. We really like these better than the ponchos because they aren't nearly as hot!

Back when AMEX was the 'official' card of WDW they used to give you fanny packs when you checked in & paid with your card. I have about 6 of them now and that's what we use to carry our important stuff. I have to wear my id badge around my neck when I'm at work and it gets annoying (IMO) and I can't wait to take it off when I leave so I don't think I'll go that route. Especially being in FL in July since it gets so hot.

I also just bought a new 35mm camera & since we already have a digital & camcorder I didn't want to have to lug around another camera bag so I bought a camera backpack that fits all three plus extras.

Now don't laugh...but I keep our passes & room keys in an old Altoids tin. It is the perfect size, water proof, and is easy to find in a bag, back pack, fanny pack, or jacket pocket. I also keep our Driver's license and credit cards in another one when we travel. I discovered by accident one year when we had the lovely paper annual passes (why are they paper?) and I didn't want them to get wet on Spash Mountain. I've been doing it ever since! Hey and it's enviromently friendly...you're recycling!! ;)

My husband and I both wear waist packs or fanny packs. I have a pocket that is just the size of our passes. Perfect for them and kept them dry. They are so handy. Couldnt imagine a trip without them.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

We use PassPorter's PassHolder pouch - available on the website www.passporter.com - and we also carry belt bags. The PassHolder pouch is nice and handy - you wear it around your neck - and while it does not promise to be water PROOF, it is made from plastic and does the trick nicely. We had them on on Splash Mountain with no problem! :D

Inspired by this thread and searching for a wallet for my DH for Father's day, I came across something at Walmart today and bought it.

It was $4.00 It's called a "Lanyard/ID Coin Pouch". It's got a clear window for ID and then a zipper pouch that could be used for coins, but fit passes and credit cards etc...perfectly, waterproof, and even a reflective strip. It's rectangle shaped and narrow so it perfect.

I just stuck all my cards in it and perfectly. Now I'll just stick that in my fanny pack and they'll be doubley safe.
