What do you carry in the park with you?

I can do it into the Baggalini wallet bag. That is as long as there isn't a chance of rain.

Pre-packaged sunscreen wipes
Hand Sanitizer
chapstick
Pack of Gum
Tissues
Blackberry (with all the ADRs keyed in!)
Camera
Sunglasses (I rotate with regular glasses)

This is a good thread......what would you sugest for Sept? We have always gone in Dec and are now trying late Sept. Do you think a mister fan two DS's under 5

we went in late september once and the temps were very tolerable, the humidity was starting to decrease and we didn't feel uncomfortable at all. IMHO this is a great time to visit.

I've also been in mid-to-late Sept and the temps were great. HOWEVER - ponchos. You can buy them there, but be prepared - it's rainy season. But, my crew is quite watertight, so we use it as an opportunity to ride, ride, ride.

I tried a mister fan with DGS but found out that just a plain smaller squirt bottle worked better -- it was easier to carry and he often squirted water into his mouth which helped him stay hydrated (not sure about late Sept -- just been in Aug/early Sept). You might want to let them know that only squirting themselves is okay -- some other folks might not like an unexpected squirt. Also having bandanas that you can get wet in a water fountain is helpful when it is hot (around your neck, to wipe your brow, etc.).

DisTwix -- where's your autograph book??? I made the mistake of printing off the first page of the thread to have your list and it took 10 pages!

Yesterday I went through my box of stuff from previous WDW trips and found this list:

To take to Parks:
Cell phone
Tickets (of course should be first on the list)
Mini-fan/misters (have given up on the fan part -- too heavy with the batteries, just a squirt bottle is fine)
Snacks (sometimes this is lunch -- but am going to try to do the DDP and not carry in many snacks on next trip).
Ponchos (always need to have at WDW just in case)
Line game(s) -- maybe quiet electronic, or paper
Wet wipes
Hand sanitizer
Autograph book (with velcroed sharpie pen)
Pens
Camera (s) -- digital, camcorder
Batteries
Film !! (now I guess that's extra cards)
Sunglasses
Sunscreen
Chapstick with SPF
Moleskin/scissors
Bandaids (I know they're available at care station -- but that can be a long walk, if you have foot trouble -- use something like Bodyglide before going to Parks)
Kleenex/facial tish
Trash bag(s) (stroller cover, rain gear, etc.)
Water bottle (perhaps drink of choice)
Change of clothes (not always, but in event of weather, or water rides/fountain playing for kids)
Umbrella (small folding one can be helpful in sun and rain -- be careful and aware of other people if using)
Hat/visor
Ibuprofen
Tums
Glow items (to avoid temptation of spending $16.00 on one-use toy during evening parade)
2-way radios (this must go along with film -- outdated by cell phones)
Blow-up cushion -- sometimes sitting on benches, etc. gets hard on the tushie for someone my age
Food storage bags -- since I'm doing the DDP on next trip, I expect to have left-over food (and if you want to get one item at one CS place, but eat it at another, it's helpful to have your own bag for transport).

Gosh -- and I was hoping to not have to carry a backpack on the next trip -- just how big are those pockets in cargo pants??:confused3
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

In my Travelon bag (unexpanded), I carry:

camera
extra batteries
small sunscreen
small eyedrops
small hand sanitizer
cell phone
a few bandaids
Ibuprofen
ponchos in a Ziploc bag
small chamois
pen
notebook
spreadsheet with my daily information
KTTW card
small pack of tissues
a few single serve drink mixes
compact
chapstick

Looks like alot, but fits neatly/compactly in my bag and I actually use everything in it every day (except maybe the bandaids).

I carry very little:
camera
cell phone
credit card
drivers license
few fruit snacks or granola bars
Crystal Light packets to add to water
small 3 oz sunscreen

I had room to spare in my little Bagalinni purse.

I have a "mom" bag that I carry to amusement parks. :) It's big enough to hold our stuff but not a backpack!
-small tube of sunscreen
-billfold
-small camera in plastic bag
-lipgloss
-immodium
-excedrin
-kids tylenol
-hand sanitizer or wipes
-tickets
-room key
-sunglasses
-pennies and quarters for the penny presses.
If it looks like rain I take the cheap rain ponchos you can buy at Target.

I love it! I always think I'm going to really minimize *this* time - that I'll really go small. It just never happens. I hate missing something. I hate spending $4 on a packet of advil when I know I have some in the room --- and there is NO WAY I'm going to make the hour ++ bus trip back to get it. By then I'd need advil AND a box of wine. :rotfl:

I carry as little as possible when going into the parks. Cash, room key, id, car keys & camera. Now that my kids are older I don't have to be the family packmule and I rather enjoy the freedom.

My DH wears cargo shorts so he gets to do the carrying. We bring:
*our Keys to the World cards
*our IDs
*our camera
*a couple of Band Aids
*a bottle of water

That's it! No cell phones--it's just me, DH and Mickey Mouse!;)

I pack all the same things as everyone has mentioned, but I haven't seen anyone else mark down to take a highlighter.
I take one to highlight show times, points of interest or just things I don't want to search for again on the park maps and brochures.
I hope this helps...

My park bag last trip contained:
- Key to the Kingdom card (hotel card/park ticket/credit card)
- Regular check card
- ID
- small hairbrush
- loose face powder
- lip gloss/chapstick
- park maps
- cell phone
- small bottle of sunscreen
- Digital camera

I carried all this in a small (Pink Elephant pattern) Libby-style Vera Bradley bag. It was perfect!

***Of course...it wouldn't be fair not to mention that my friend's DH carried an ENORMOUS tote all week with all the extra stuff.*** :rolleyes1 But pretend I didn't say that. ;)
