What do we do first thing when we get on board??

We never sign up for anything (and usually don't get on the ship before about 1 pm) so for us, its:

1. check out our stateroom (and go to the bathroom);
2. go to Cabanas.

I used to LOVE the MDR buffet lunch. Now that the MDR is a sit down lunch, I REALLY don't like the menu. Not sailing until July 2017, hoping it changes.

Didn't know that changed. So, there is a set menu now? To get the buffet, do you have to go to Cabanas?

Yes, and yes. And yeah...the menu I've seen isn't appealing. Thankfully I'm not buffet-phobic and have never had issues with going to Cabanas in 4 cruises on Dream Class AND Classic.

Ya I was sad that the Wonder didn't have the MDR buffet anymore, but I was on the Fantasy this past Feb. and I believe it was Enchanted Garden had a buffet. It was good! I'll be back on the Wonder in Sept. but I will still do the MDR b/c I'm not a fan of Cabanas.

I'd guess because it's a massive cattle call, especially on the first day, when new cruisers give you the stinkeye (and mouth off often) because you know to not get in the first line but instead move on to the next station to get food. I've had ugly things said to me on several occasions until people realized that I was the one who knew what I was doing and that they weren't paying attention to the Cast Members who were telling them that the buffet was station-based, not a single line.

In all the cruises? I will be on the Magic in 2 weeks and I like to go to Cariocas for the buffet.

As I understand it, all ships have gone to the menu if you don't do Cabanas or pool deck food.

It's always too warm in there and it's very loud. I prefer the MDR
