What do they do about theft in a room?

My recent stay at SSR the USB cord was missing.I called the front desk(or wherever it goes to)and they said they would send another one.They did later that day but I did wondered if the previous renter would be charged.I'm disappointed to see these things just get replaced and noone is held accountable.If I were to accidently take it home w/my computer I would fully expect to be charged for it And the Ihomes???? This bothers me.They should secure these kind of items to deter theft,especially if they are not charging people for them!!Or,as far as the USB goes,if they got wifi then no need for cables!!!

They can take the cables out of the OKW studios to replace the ones at SSR. There is literally no HSIA jack in this renovated studio, only a permanently connected cord to the modem behind the night stand. The jacks are literally glued shut. You really need to bring a wireless router to an OKW studio, or use your laptop only while in bed, not at the table.

Yep, that's pretty much it in a nut shell. I always thought my parents and grandparents were crazy with their, "back in my day" stories. Life sure was a lot more moralistic 25 yrs ago. People were kinder to each other and there didn't seem to be so much ugliness going around. The difference between right and wrong has gotten lost somehow, with some people.

If someone can afford DVC, surely they can afford to go out and buy an ihome clock/radio, if that's what they really need to fill a void in their life. I'm betting they didn't steal their DVC.

I think fishermouse may be referring to the thread about people taking towels off the housekeeping cart to hold them over til T&T day. Which of course we won't get into here since that thread has been locked for any more posts, but still available for your reading entertainment! Although there may be another thread out there about people actually stealing towels to take home...
