At first that seemed odd to me as microwaves were unheard of when I was a child. But my son and daughter in law are in their 4th home, and their first without a microwave. Been in it 3 years and now have 3 kids and seem to do just fine without a microwave. But a lot of the kids meals are made up of raw veggies and fruit, not a lot of hot food, and the food that is hot usually is cooking in the regular oven.Microwave

Portable dishwasher
I have never lived in a house that didn't have one. We called it a cutting board.and something i've not seen included in new construction in decades-a bread board (that was part of the cabinetry and pulled out).

1. A conventional pressure cooker -- not an "insta pot." So many good meals came out of that old cooker.
2. A refrigerator with a freezer that had to be defrosted.
3. I remember my grandma had an actual ice box and I remember the ice man delivering the huge chunk of ice.
